Does it really matter if you are sick at this point, why need a covid test to validate it. Sick is sick, stay home or away from other people...OR....wear a mask.
Umm. If you are sick please stay away from me regardless of how many layers of fabric you wear on your face.

    Fucking masks

People who think masks are a solution for anyone but healthcare professionals should stay away from me if they are sick or not.

My wife caught it out in Newfoundland last week. Now she is testing negative, but it has become more of a bronchial thing. Both me and my son have tested negative as well.

No one is losing out on pay to stay home with the sniffles. Come to the realization that you're probably in contact with covid positive people on a daily basis if you're out in public.

This thread just needs to die along with all our covid measures that are left.

Sure for my guys but I'm not sure for a lot of people. And it still means a lot of disruptions on rescheduling and pushing some task back. At least it is summer time and it's slow for now.

Well people need to stay home as soon as there are symptoms. Most of my guys are not positive on anti-gen kit til day 4 of onset of symptoms.

I have a coworker in China right now, and man the stories there are insane. Where he is, you have to have a cellphone app that shows a QR code. To enter any store, restaurant or other building, you need to scan that code which logs your movements. If you visit any place where a person with a confirmed case has been, your code goes to "yellow" status and you must quarantine. In their city, you also must take a rapid test every 48 hours, or your code will change to yellow status and automatic quarantine. A positive test is red status with a more serious and longer quarantine in a government-controlled facility.

Masks and testing people with no symptoms are the great quackery of our era.

My wife went back to wearing masks when out in public due to her chemo treatment. Everyone has their reasons.

Anyone still taking boosters is hopelessly confused. Anyone encouraging children to get vaccinated is just fucking evil. Covid is real, the treatments and restrictions are outright scams and political power grabs at this point.

That's understandable, from your perspective. You are in a vast vast minority of rare outcomes, which I absolutely 120% sympathize with you on. That still does not indicate that people as a whole should have avoided vaccination. That is me as a medical professional just stating the factual aspect of it, so its not intended to sound cold because I know I would feel that way in your shoes as well.
This is factually incorrect of course (your credentials are irrelevant), tirebob was obviously right.

The vast majority of people did not avoid vaccination. Vaccination uptake has been incredibly high.
The vaccines were a huge accomplishment, and that's been embraced by the majority.

Continued mandates and restrictions make no sense at this point.

Out of the all the things that can kill you and give you long-term effects in this world, vaccines and boosters are at the bottom of things I worry about.

My wife wanted the fourth, she asked her doctor who said to wait for the new and improved booster with 6G.

Covid finally went through our house for the first time (that we know of). My wife and kids are more or less fine, but this is the sickest I can remember being. I feel like I've unlocked some sort of achievement.
