While I don’t wholly disagree here, we can’t staff it.

AHS is refusing to staff beds via a few means.

Attrition, stress leaves, sabbaticals, sick days - whatever.

We don’t have the staff willing, and able as we did in March 2020.
    So they'd be short-staffed?
    Good. Roll it out.

Why stop at two. Realistically we should have several tiers.

We’re short staffed right now. We can’t do the 425 contingency beds we set aside last wave.

    So Iv’e heard. Shrug.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

So 30 percent of 80 percent, but then a bunch of those die, sounds like a problem that solves itself.

So I'm as awful and heartless as Killy on this one... Anyone else willing to admit that they think these fucks deserve a lower minimum standard of care?

Cool story. Your track record hasn't exactly been great since the start of this thing, so I get less and less inclined to value your input on this particular subject. We can agree to disagree since this isn't a black and white objective issue. It's a subjective one with different "solutions" that are based more in ideals and ideologies, those of which you have chosen to abandon your personal ones when it comes to covid for some reason. Which makes it appear you're emotionally compromised on this subject, lending even less credibility to your opinion.

Actually, it isn't subjective at all. The ICU is filling up with covid patients to the point of capacity.

You're wrong, nothing more complicated than that.

ICU utilization has risen 10% at the height of our waves. They were full regardless, and shows a good chunk of the covid ICU cases would have been in there anyway, as the non covid shrinks substantially.

No they weren't full - they were probably running a pretty optimal capacity. Nothing supports your claim that it would have been the same patients. In fact, that is unlikely. What is more likely is that people who are normally going to ICU right now are not in order to manage the continuation of the march of the unvaccinated morons.
