You would be surprised the amount of Chinese that actually subscribes to alt-right groups/ideologies. Even Bannon seems to have a huge Chinese following.

May be I just watch Train to Busan on Netflix (great movie) but a pandemic due to a high up screw up not totally impossible.

But yeah, in this case it's BS. But same BS has been said about the pair of Chinese that got fired from Winnipeg lab too.

How do to feel that out? I have seen a lot of mainlanders has embraced China more now than reject it because $$$.
Wrap your forearms in phonebooks and duct tape so you don't get bit and you good.

What if all our knowledge on zombies are false and headshots don't do anything?! :O

That's when knowing where to find the nearest woodchipper and how to operate it comes in

If it was engineered in a Winnipeg lab, I'd feel much safer about the whole thing. Because of full doubt of Canada's ability to create a premium product, in this case - a real deadly killer. The USA invented Napalm, and burned millions of people in their homes, but Canada inventing the superbug? Nah.

Maliciousness is not in question, capability and competence are.

A friend of mine used to work in Wuhan as a teacher and I talked to him the other day. He said that factors people aren't really talking about is how bad pollution is there and how almost everyone is a chain smoker - both things that dramatically reduce your lung health, and this virus goes right for the lungs making you more susceptible to complications. If that weren't the case, it would be interesting to see how much the already very low mortality rate would change.

Also, typically most people don't go to the doctor or even report it when they have a normal flu, but now that everyone is paranoid, that is also probably skewing some numbers because everyone is going to the hospital thinking they have coronavirus at the first sign of flu symptoms.

It wasn't. I have a friend who works in that exact lab.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

People just started to go back for to work and worker shortage is creating crazy poaching for workers. It's going to be a zoo for next bit. Who knows if you get you stuff on time.

My pre Covid-19 cell phone order just showed up this week but thru official Motorola Canadian reseller almost a month late.

If you are worry about the virus, just keep a bottom of Purell handy when you unbox.

Virus can't survive on surfaces for days/weeks. You're safe.

Just got some tires from HK in under 2 weeks... Very impressed with the post apocalyptic mail system

Coles notes, 2 deaths in Iran. And 6th BC patient had not traveled to China, nor had family/friends who traveled there - so infected in the general population.

Also the harvard scientist arrested, as well as the chinese person smuggling vials onto a plane a while back are suspicious.

I mean for what purpose would they release it there, it seems to only really be killing old people.

Social benefit system is crumbling since nobody is dying by 70s any more.

Frankly most countries would benefit from a mass cull of seniors. Release a huge amount of stale capital. Longevity isn't good for the economy.

The HK protests slowed down to a trickle, that's for sure. [/tinfoilhat]

According to this government news release, it doesn't even sound like they tested the patients who were in quarantine evacuated from the high risk zone. From every news report I can find, it sounds as if the only people they test in quarantine, are those who present symptoms. Which if true, would be incredibly irresponsible, given it is now well-established that this virus can be had and spread with no symptoms (something this government still refuses to acknowledge).

It's looking more and more like this government plans for this, are about as well-established as their plans for pipelines, blockades, and virtually every other policy decision they've made a mess of.
