Creating a complete online platform is no small task, the time frames to do so were also very damn tight.

You would think that they've had ample opportunity since kids were online since March

CBE is hardly qualified to run physical schools. Let alone anything online. They can't even fucking figure out how to send emails to parents consistently. I get emails from one kids school, and zero from another, despite the school claiming they get sent.

I had no trust in the HUB program because of how poorly run the March program was. One of the big reasons why we sent our kids back to school.

Class sizes have been small for the younger 2. Looks like lots of parents signed up for in class, and just taking homework home instead so they don't get locked into HUB.

In class has been good so far. Kindergarten masks are optional, so those that are comfortable with it has them on. Grade 2, everyone wore masks, no issues with the kids. They're allowed to take it off for short periods of time if they need a break. Seems like a good balance. Both classes are in their own cohort. Surprisingly, grade 8 also is doing their own cohort. No electives, everyone has to take every option. Everyone stays in the room, only teachers rotate. Poor kids all have to take French.

Seems to be OK so far. Schools, teachers, and principals have done good work here from my experience. Like others have said, if shit's gonna outbreak, it'll be outside of the schools. Kids chilling like it's 2019.

So day 1 of the school my wife works at had something similar. The kid is in grade 5 I believe and the mother walked into the building (no mask) just before the bell, asked to speak to the principal and proceeded to tell him very defiantly in no uncertain terms that her little Johnny (actual name unknown) would not be wearing a mask and the teachers should not be asking him to put one on. No medical reasons, their family simply believes it doesn't do anything.

I'm still kinda wishy washy on this whole COVID thing but that's just nuts. If you want your kid to attend school then follow the god damn rules. Bitches like her is why society needs licenses and restrictions around having kids.

A majority of the people I have seen do not wear the masks properly so they really aren't containing the majority of the droplets from talking,sneezing.
This virus seems to really only affect unhealthy/compromised people. These people should be trained to wear N99+ masks and air tight goggles and you would seen the death number fall.

I heard from a volunteer parent that was helping elementary kids use sanitizer on their way in that fully 10-20% are claiming "nope, can't - allergic" and the school is buying it. Fucking horse shit.
