Not gonna lie, assuming they price it right and make the chassis a contender, you might have a Supra/Cayman competitor. I'd definitely consider one.

The good thing about buying one will be that you never have to worry about your new car being outdated over the years due to refreshes, improvements, or gasp...a new model seeing the launch car will essentially be sold as-is for over a decade.

370Z has long been on the list of cars that desperately need turbos, IMHO (others include Lexus IS series, BRZ/FRS, every N/A Subaru, ILX, etc). Hope they do it.

Price dependent, this could be a major contender for my fun car.

And that motor has so much potential too. I have the 300HP version and with just a tune and downpipe, its quicker than the 400HP version.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

I'd probably still have my IS if it had a snail on it. 306hp at sea level, sure. 270hp at our elevation sucks when its peers have turbos and all their power.

If they don't even reveal it for 2 years, using the existing power plant that is in the Infiniti's will be disappointing. I was half expecting some sort of hybrid system and push it closer to 450 HP.

Rumor has it the 2021 FRS/BRZ will be a boosted 2.4L Subaru motor

Yeah those cars are so boring, and they are way too expensive for N/A in my opinion, given what else you can buy for similar money. Very reliable I'm sure, but under-powered especially at our altitude.

That is great news, I hope that rumor is true as well. The current ones are like the Miata - slow and boring to drive (in my opinion) while they hold off from forced induction for reasons I don't understand. Can't cost them that much to add a turbo and transform the car.

Honestly the 370Z still looks good today. A minor facelift, a bit of a diet, and a couple turbos would make for a great car. Doubt it'd happen though.... I am holding out for a turbo frs though, that might make me buy another again.

It's the modern version of Ford's 3.8L Essex, from the SN-95's.

BRZ/FRS should have been boosted from day 1 (or at least had the option). I'll believe it when I see it.

On topic, TT 370 would be great, but it would be even greater if they dropped a couple hundred lbs. Actually, just keep it N/A and drop 350lbs, it'd be fantastic.

I think we all know the real question here...

What’s its towing capacity and payload?
