If a guy was going to buy a fitbit, which one is the ideal choice?
They aren't well known for durability. Part of the problem was one particular model that was just badly designed. I think most of the current models have reasonable durability.
I run the Alta HR because it's small and doesn't have many features. I hate features.

I'll throw this out to anyone. If you want to borrow one of my old junky fitbits to wear for a week and see your resting heart rate, PM me. I have three that will do this that I'm not currently using.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

I'm hard on things, I break good watches so I don't want something already prone to breaking.

I've had a fitbit for 4 years - I've gone through 4 bands in the 4 years, but it's still kicking. I think if my fitbit breaks, my next tracker is going to be a Garmin. I've read that they're a bit more accurate in tracking activity and heart rate.
    I like things with wheels.
