Annual echocardiogram, my valve is calcified as well so makes it a little harder. I’ve been told to not lift weights in heavy amounts as it will wear down the valve faster. I’ll be asking about my blood pressure this time, he wasn’t concerned last year, I was overwhelmed when I found out so I missed a lot of questions. Get your annual checkups my doctor found it when I was 35.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yeah I am just curious because I have one too, discovered randomly because my buddy is a heart surgeon so a few years ago I asked him to do a workup on me just for curiosity of overall health after 20 years of "given' er" pretty hard. He had no concerns other than to check it every year or two and just understand it'll need replaced at some point in my 50's/60's maybe. I haven't changed anything at all personally, lift heavy/train hard, pretty much don't do anything different lifestyle-wise yet. 43. So far the only ill effect is fucking up my life insurance rates when the term came up for renewal last year. I guess that's why they say never go to the Dr. unless you're actually sick! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

No Fitbit here but i check a couple of times a week, typically in the AM during the time i am drinking coffee. Typically in the 40's, this morning i was 56.
I am curious what it goes to during the night. I might have to borrow my daughter's Fitbit to experiment for a day or two.

Why it matters:

and from Harvard. Probably a better source

My yearly average is about 50 bpm, I was down to 45 at one point.
I like things with wheels.
Mid 50s when I'm on a chair, mid 40s in bed. No idea about my sleeping heart rate.
What about max? 180 is the highest I've seen, don't think I want to push anymore.
According to google I was 5bps away from death the first time I used the hr strap on zwift at 184bpsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Then you are not trying hard enough lol. Go do some repeats at the radio tower.
Max is from soccer, 191 average.. Think highest ive seen is ~195.
Anything over 180 on the bike hurts a lot
I’m hooked on repack ridge... but that final climb, why isn’t there a shuttle???This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
130 bpm while on beyond.ca
If a guy was going to buy a fitbit, which one is the ideal choice?

Fitbits are brutal for breaking. Ask @ExtraSlow how many he's gone through. Part of their business is having them break, offering you the next one at half off, so they sell two. I've had my Garmin Fenix for 2 years with zero issues. I went through 4 fitbits in the same timeframe last time i had one..
