You should send this to the City & Webber Academy.

Apparently the school has been trying to get approval by the City for a 2nd exit onto 17ave, but the City is refusing.

    It’s complete bullshit.
Bit late to this conversation, but I fail to see where this would go unless they unblocked 93st but then that would just cause massive problems for Calgary Academy.

At webber do the parents actually drive in drop their kids off at the front door then go around and come back out that same gate? Ive only been there once to vote last year.

Rundle College also has this problem around 8am in the morning with parents lined up along 17th ave SW all the way down the hill.

Speedogs posts make it seem like he's never heard of Springbank. It's closer than lots of actual suburbs to any amenities you could think of. Canadian Tire, Lowes, and Costco are probably the most inconvenient.. but the first two are like a 10 min drive and Costco is the worst at 21 min (according to google maps right now).

Our endgame will be moving out there (if we don't leave for the USA in the next 10 years).

Also, to whoever said Brittania is for new money, that's simply not true.

I would dare say most schools have this problem to some extent, coddled kids can't be taking a school bus ya know.

I have friends still on the waiting list.
Unless your friend signed up recently and something changed, there was no waiting list to be a social member as there was a big push to add members to fund club renovations.. You have to pay your ~$50k (broken up into installments of your choice) and you're in. Granted it doesnt get you much.. but you are then a social member.

My understanding is he didn’t want to wait to become a full fledge member.

They ended up going to Winter Club.

How much is Winter Club, $20,000ish for a single member?

Same. I have no interest in those clubs. Family is at Glencoe, and I just don't get it. Also I hate golf, so there's that.
Yeah, I get it -- but the tennis ladder, the pubs, the shinny are all fun. But I lost my access with an ex, and until my t4 starts with a 3, I ain't paying.

And you're right, Golf is so damn overrated. Although I do go a few times a summer.

    This makes no sense.

You said: "I have friends still on the waiting list.", and now you're saying he didn't want to wait.

But if he was actually on the list, then a) the Glencoe is very clear and he should have known there was a waiting period between the different tiers of membership and b) he would have paid at least 25% of the membership to actually get on the waiting list...

I don't have a fucking clue. I just want to know how much it would cost to not have to sweat with poor people.

Not you, I don’t think your pretending to know anything. Annual dues are cheap, probably the same as a good life. Something like $2200 for member and $1200 for spouse.

$1000/yr discount if I can marry in. Thanks bro. I will be hanging out in the parking lot.

I may have mis-spoken, regardless he didn’t want to wait and ended up going to the winter club.

    Who cares lol.
