Love reading the BBC coverage of US politics.
This one is about how Bernie is the frontrunner, and what his path to presidency could look like.
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-51507205

Coles is that younger voters overwhelmingly support Bernie over anyone else, so if he needs higher voter turnout of young democrats, similar or perhaps greater than what Obama had.
Man Bernie VS Trump would be a hell of a wild ride.

From the Democrats? I don't think anyone? The question is who can beat Trump.

What is Americans obsession with voting for people who should be in assisted living homes?

No one over 60 should be allowed to be a leader.

no kidding. so much criticism over trump's age of 73 and then the two dem frontrunners (at least before Iowa Caucuses a couple of weeks ago) end up being 78 and 77. And with talk of bloomberg now being the last "moderate" guy who has a chance, add another 78 year old to the mix.

It really makes the VP pick all the more important.

Won't matter until we have a sitting president fall deal on the job. Until then, nobody cares.

What’s also funny is all the heat on Trump abusing executive orders to get his way is exactly what Bernie plans to use on his first day in office to get his promises rammed through if he wins.

    Trump is a pioneer.

Bernie would be a super interesting president. I think he lines up with a lot of Canadian values.

So for all you TDS-ers, which is more offensive? His current actions, or his old tweets?

His actions are expected so no surprises there or offence taken.

It’s the hypocrisy of his base that turn a blind eye to the very same things they hated the last guy for that is interesting but mostly just sad.

He’s trailblazing politics. It’s the norm now and every base will follow suit.

Yeah, and anyone voting age when that happened is 75 or older now. Not relevant to current voters.
I should have said we need it to happen again, and then it'll be relevant for a generation or two.

Both Republicans and Democrats want to limit executive power when the other guys are in office, and expand it when their guy is in office. Always been that way. The hypocrisy, such as it exists on this topic, is universal.

Can a mod please fix the thread title to make it more specific to the US Presidential election? The words "mega thread" optional.

Do as I say, not as I said (before I got elected).
