Looks like impeachment is a sure thing next week. Def not enough time for a senate trial to be done before jan 20, but it seems like they can still go ahead with it primarily so that they can hold a vote after voting to remove to ban him from ever running for office again.

My money is on him resigning over the weekend with Pence pardoning him next week so that he can avoid the embarrassment of being the only president impeached (twice) and removed.

Oh and twitter also permabanned him.

This is the best TV show i've ever seen.

Except they aren't silencing anyone, really, I'm fairly certain Twitter and Facebook aren't in their constitution. Trump can still use every other form of media he likes. Just as a store has every right to refuse a customer (for non-bigotry reasons), a tech company can do the same.

I'm going to assume no, but I also think asking followers to come and break into the capitol right when Nevada is being counted so it doesn't get counted is a bit different.

Imagine if they actually had a big turnout, and they were able to get hostages, does trump bring in Marshall law after and remain president?

I think they expected and wanted a lot more people to go inside.

Did BLM tell their follower to break into the highest ranking government officials offices? The same officials that they pay lobbyists to influence policy's in their favour? Pretty sure this wasn't an altruistic decision.

This seems to be the end game - preventing a future run. Impeaching him now is just a small part of that. My original prediction was he resigns close to Jan 20 and forces Pence to pardon him, so we will see if that happens or not. Pardons can cover past and future crimes and accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt, so I will be very curious to see the wording.

If those who are being banned are using the platform to rally extremists and create riots and the like, I think most people would find the ban reasonable. He essentially told his followers to storm the capital and then praised them for it, and those apps provide him with a platform to reach as many people as possible. It's not like he's getting banned for badmouthing Twitter or posting a meme someone didn't like. Same basic reason ISIS members and other similar groups get banned (not saying the two are the same but you get what I mean). I agree it's a bit of a grey area, but you need to draw the line somewhere if the platforms are being used to create violence or organize large-scale illegal activities.

You have a convicted criminal getting a knee to the neck from a bully cop and die as a result, accidentally - vs. a unarmed protestor getting shot with a live round, for essentially illegal entry.

Look at the different media reactions - DC should be burning if a BLM protestor was shot by a police in the same situation.

The narrative is manifest and obvious.

Has nothing to do with the political leanings of the platform holders at all though I’m sure of that.
