You could add a plug to the inside of one of your pantry units for a microwave. that way it can still be hidden if you decide down the road you want one.
You should definitly consider a microwave oven then. As a oven they heat up so much faster and great that it doubles as a microwave. Having 2 ovens is also very convenient, even if you use one just as a warmer.
You'll need a microwave and a basement bar for when you have teenagers.
Do people just eat leftovers cold? Or not ever have leftovers?

There is just something about reheated food in the microwave that I don't like. Might just be in my head. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yaya, we are planning, to eventually put in a coffee bar or something like that, possibly across from the island, or beside the fire place, so will likely incorporate a spot for a microwave there if we feel the need.
Plug inside one of the cabinets is actually a great idea too. Still time to get that done.

Cabinets on the "bar side" will be a push latch. Great little space for additional storage.

When we built our kitchen, we wanted a built in microwave in the island but also the option to go back to drawers if needed. I wired and sized the cabinets and drawers accordingly, and keep the drawer fronts, drawers and hardware in the storage room. Best of both worlds if you change your mind.
On that note, we use a toaster oven on the counter for almost all reheating of food and making toast. The microwave does get used more now that we have kids.
I like neat cars.
We have a speed oven microwave. Never use the speed oven function. Don't know why. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
A double oven is the way to go if you have the space. twice the cleaning though!

I bought a range like this thinking I wouldn't need a toaster oven. I ended up getting a toaster oven anyways for speed. The double oven was still good for hosting though since I could do turkey, sides, and dessert separately.
Double oven is handy. Mine looks like one of the little warming drawers below, but it's a legit oven. Smaller oven on top might be a little better.

From my understanding, waiting on Enmax/electrician to move it, so instead of waiting for that to be processed, they got the house as far along as possible, and will just do patch work after, instead of holding the entire project up.

I had to watch it twice to catch it, but yupThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I was wondering how you got away with being allowed to keep it inside, makes sense it's getting moved. The house is looking really good!
That vinyl flooring left behind in the entry area and basement, is that because it was asbestos and removal was too expensive?

Yes, no way they would allow the electrical meter to be in the house. Since it is in the addition portion, it appears it's going to be quite simple to move it as they left an area of the sub-floor open, which they can just patch up once it has been moved. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. We didn't even realize that it was there, as it was under neath another layer of flooring. This was after we had the asbestos abatement company come through and take everything out.
