Yeah lowered trucks can't tow anything.
never said they couldn't. IMO, a lifted truck would keep the same ride (or better) as well as capability whereas a lowered one would have to be super stiff in order to maintain payload.

once you start modifying the frame, custom control arms, axles, etc. i would consider a custom build, not just lowering.

That’s the kind of truck I envision of a 20 year old owning and filling the box with dudes in flat brimmed hats, board shorts and wife beaters so they can slowly drive around the Barlow parking lot...
Ive never been to those meets but i bet youre more likely to see a 20 year old with a box full of dudes in flat brimmed hats, board shorts and wife beaters in a lifted truck than one of these. Ive watched a ton of the bagged dually builds and most are older guys who look pretty normal lol It also takes serious cash to drop a truck like that so you're probably not going to see many youngins in those

If done properly you might be able to keep close to the same ride with a lift but most arent so they actually ride really rough and when you slap on some LT tires that just makes it worse. Same goes for lowered trucks, do it right and you can keep the same ride and capability but again most probably arent.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.
