So just actually purchase it. Sounds like a winning financial theory.

Yeah what Chandler Racing said, I almost bought a Raptor yesterday until I got more detail about the leases, they are all open ended which means you are on the hook for the residual value at the end and on top of that the rates that are out there are pretty much 6%, I guess you could always HELOC it and save the $10g's
Raptor is very tempting.
Those interest rates are absolute shit. I don't even pay that for a fucking super car. Thank God though as it had been tempting me way too much even after the Lexus purchase. lol.
Also a word of advise if anyone is considering it, make sure you have at least the 802A package which gives it the adaptive cruise control and 360 degree camera. Without the camera you might as well be fucking hitting it everywhere, especially in parking lots etc. Don't care how good of a driver you are, you need a 360 degree camera on this bitch. That Cam Calrk one looks basic without the 802. I believe ones with 802A are around $82K after the discounts.
Ya that interest rate just killed it for me.
$666 per month isn't so bad, but the interest rate is 5.99% crazy. Especially the open end lease, I am sure they are coming with a new gen raptor so the prices will depreciate.
FYI - $333 b/w is $721.50/moThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Most of the time is my guess. To their credit they do actually say it is $721/month in the fine print for the ad.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Interest rate doesn't matter. All that matters is the monthly payment really. What is a good deal on this truck? If $721 a month is a great deal, I don't care if rate is 0% or 9.99%.
It's a open end lease though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's a whole separate issue. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It is likely why there is 10k off the truck. Ford does this as well with their rates, they adjust the rate and incentives all year long. As rate goes up so does the incentive and vice versa. But yes, the open ended lease is a tough one. I'd stick to OEM leasing with closed ones.
1. who cares about adaptive cruise, most dont even use it. and 360 is not even that big of a deal... you make it sound like it's not drivable without it, yes it wider, but learn how to use your mirrors? imo it's even that bad. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
2. It's a lease, why does it matter what the interest rate is... It can run on 15% for all i care. If the interest rate is a turn off for a lease, you clearly don't understand how a lease works (unless you want to buy it out i guess?! then why lease from the start?!)
You can opt for a close end lease. it's all in the setup.
edit: didnt see what Aleks said, but he explained it well.

How do you like driving it so far? I am looking into this as well. Quite interested, I have had 3 F-150's with the 3.5L Ecoboost, my current one is due for a lease back in April. Thinking of trading it in for another, however the prices on the Rams are incredible. Just their engine is outdated. Gotta love the turbos on the highway. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Probably not.
The open ended lease is really only problematic if there's a concern of being upside-down at the end of the term... If you're going to have equity, it shouldn't really matter. (I haven't looked at market values of used Raptors to see if it makes sense in this case).

I’m guessing these are in-house leases and can be setup anyway you want - for a price. Another nice point of the in-house lease is that it doesn’t show up on your credit file. Good for self-employed etc.
Also, Shak, no need for all those cameras, just park by feel!
