so wait until april and some ford incentive to come out, then lowball the shit outta a deal and pay cash. done.
I think Ford over built and dealers over bought thinking that these things would sell based on prior demand and based on gen 1. The demand from what I'm seeing is lower on the EB motor vs the 6.2 and on top of the Ford has no financing/leasing forcing dealers to create their own financing/leasing plans.

There is already a $10K incentive / discount. But how many people can fork out $70-80K on a car with out financing it that don't already have one.

$10k not enough for cars like this. Need $15k at least.

I still think the 1st gen w/ V8 is kinda special. Don't seem to see them nearly as often, and if I had to pick I'd pick that one for sure.

    This.

The lack of a 6.2 in the new one takes away from what the raptor really had going for it, ridiculousness.

EcoBoost Raptor was a major missed opportunity.

Rumour Has it a super raptor is coming.

    Supercharged 5.2.

Also, ford has the new Godzilla power plant that would work well. People would scoop them up if ford can get in the 500hp area.

If they did an EcoBoosted 6.2, they wouldn't have any left.

    Perfect, completely useless ridiculousness.

They would sell every one they can make at any price.

Not a bad idea aside from paying >$100k for a Jeep.
BUT if it lasts 2 years it would be no different than the net sum of all the trade-in differentials likely hahaha

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the 3.5 EB is kinda underwhelming...

I mean, it's ok, but it's not grin-inducing like the 6.2 was, which is basically the whole point of the Raptor.

I'm not trying to take sides but i think some are missing what Team_Mclaren is getting at, from what i read he has no intention of keeping the raptor after his lease is up so the buyout is pointless. I also think i get what he means about the interest rate being pointless because his monthly payment from what you guys are saying is a good deal. If he were planning to buy the raptor out than yeah hes getting hosed but on a short lease for that price it sounds pretty good i think.
I mean realistically speaking if you went and financed a truck with 0 down/60 months you'd be upside down still after 2 years of payments from the depreciation of the first 2 years which is the worst. Either way you look at it whether you lease or finance the first 2 years of payments on a truck are basically being thrown away imo

Be neat if they bring out a performance variant of the 7.3L V8. That'd feel special and induce grins.

Not convinced it would be faster than the EcoBoost, but more fun for sure.

I don't get what the arguing is about. The deals that are being advertised right now are garbage. It's a 6% rate, in order to get to that the only thing these lease programs are doing is providing short term financing on a very low depreciation. Why not just buy the vehicle outright at this point?

These dealers are providing financing for 17% of the vehicle. So at the end of two years and you want to keep it fine, you just paid 6% on $17k. Why not just buy it outright on a loan or HELOC at 3-4%?

If you only want it for 2 years you better hope that the value on these raptors is going to have 17% depreciation. Most likely you'll see 35+% and at that point you'll be in a negative equity situation.

Your buyout will be $66k and the truck at 35% depreciation will only be worth $55. On top of that you just paid 6%.

Curious if anyone has been able to find closed ended lease numbers on these though? I talked to three dealers, one had no financing at all and the other two only offered open ended leases on these.

Maybe team_mclaren stumbled onto a wicked deal he isn't telling anyone about?
    What about this:

You sign up for this open lease deal. 3 years, $721/month nothing up front. You take a gamble. Residual is set at $59400 plus GST so that's ~ $62,500

Say in 3 years market value of truck is either:
    $65,000
    $55,000
    $50,000

If my math is right your TCO in those 3 scenarios would be:
    $652/month
    $929/month
    $1068/month

You'd have to compare those scenarios to taking out a loan on $100,000 and paying interest on that for 3 years, or paying cash and tying up the 100k for 3 years. So signing up for this open lease deal may not be a garbage deal unless in 3 years these things are truly worthless. This is why most people like closed deals, however I doubt you could close lease these for under $1000/m at 3 years.

If I have a family member that works at a dealer, can I get a discount on one?

Yes. Current tune is very conservative for commercial type applications. But I assume a performance tune will show up soon enough.

Already done. REVen Evan already did a 588hp version NA.

The dealers are all flooded with these now so used values will go down big time, it wont drop like a regular f150 will but they definitely wont be holding the crazy high values like they did the first 2-3 years
