i see people in the states getting around 57-58k USD for 2017 with 30-40kmiles for trade in values
    That's not really accurate.

Trade-in for very low mile 2017 Raptors in the US might crack US$50k, but an average 40k mile 2017 is more like mid $40s and is dropping pretty quickly at about 2% per month.

joined a couple of FB raptor pages and the general consensus was around 55-60k. maybe it depends on the state?

Maybe that’s just what the raptor owners want for their underwater trucks

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

I think Killer's on the right track...

If you check any of the wholesale price guides (and as I'm sure you know, "trade in values" are often even lower) in the US, the prices are mostly in the $40s; it's an exceptional truck that breaks out over $50 and even then, not by much.

I’m not reading all of this but for those following along... is it just the 3yr cam Clark lease that’s open? Or is the 4yr advantage lease also open? Cam Clark says it in their fine print, advantage doesn’t say one way or the other

I believe if a lease is closed ended, the residual has to be published in the advert as part of the consumer disclosure mumbo-jumbo.

In that case... I don't know

In all but the rarest of cases, any closed ended lease product would be from the manufacturer, i.e. Ford Credit, in which case, if it were available, all dealerships would have access to that lease. So, there was a closed lease from FC, all dealers would offer it. Since no one's talking about a closed lease being available, I'm inclined to think that one isn't offered.

Hard to say, there are white label 3rd party products out there for leasing... I don’t see why a dealership couldn’t arrange such a thing

Sure, there are tons of third party leasing options... The difference being the risk associated with a closed end lease. If a third party was to offer such a thing (they typically don't), the residual would be so low it would basically defeat the purpose for the consumer.

Well jag/Land Rover uses one for Canadian leases... and their residuals are pretty solid

CDLSI provides white-label and branded leasing services to the automotive industry. The company will provide Jaguar and Land Rover leasees with “personalized, high-touch customer service that’s consistent with one of the market’s premier brands,” according to Alex Leman, Chairman of Canadian Dealer Lease Services Inc.
