Default Disconnected battery, now I have an issue with the remote start/alarm.

I was installing a new stereo, and since I was tapping into other wires, didn't want to fry anything, so I disconnected the battery. Now, when I remote start the truck, I can't unlock the doors with the remote, it disarms the alarm, then I have to unlock the door with the key, and unlock for everyone else in the family. I used to be able to remote start the truck, and press the unlock button, disarming the alarm and unlocking the doors. I've gone through the manual, trying to find what I need to do to reprogram this functionality, but I don't know what to look for. The alarm/starter in question is a Viper 5901

Any help finding what I need to program would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Does lock work? , does it still remote start? My money is you might need to set it for double pulse unlock.

Yes, both still work. I'll try your suggestion, thanks.

*edit* Unfortunately, that didn’t work. I have an appointment on the 12th for the original install shop to look at it. Lifetime warranty.

You turned the double pulse setting on via the menu?

Menu 1 - 6, option 2 ? Feb 12, is a long time to wait to get it fixed.. I am a little surprised they didn't say swing by, and we can change it with the bitwriter for you a in a couple of minutes.

Sure did, 1-6-2. No go. The locks don’t move, not even a pulse when remote start is running. The shop IS busy, so I can see the need for an appointment.

no worries, thought I would double check.. I assume no changes were done to the wiring of the remote start?

No, no changes. It's weird, they work independently, but not at the same time. I, too, was hoping to have them break out the Bitwriter, and fix it then, but I'm hoping patience pays off. I appreciate your help in trying too. Thanks.
