Japan opened up... to tour groups. I'll pay for any testing you guys want but I'm absolutely not going on any tour group
Yes, I have delayed trips due to concerns with the virus.
No, I am proceeding as planned with all travel.
Yes, but I will take precautions and still go.
The Corona threat is all a bunch of hogwash.

Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
man. travel is currently really, really shitty. Was coming back from winnipeg, id say 60% of flights were delayed. Baggage took ~hour to hit the claim area at YYC and they managed to lose my wifes bag for an additional 2.. I hate the people that carry on the absolutely massive carry ons, but gotta say, im gonna start trending that way.
That's so disappointing. Really want to go there before they get wrecked by inflation/energy shortage. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
But summer months are too fucking hot anyway.
Yea I always go in February to go skiing with some laid back time on the end. I'm still gonna book something with cancellation just in case they get their shit sorted out. I did that this year but no dice

well, have booked 5 days in vegas and 7 in mexico recently. that's on top of the 17 days I spent on the eat coast in August. Awww yeah travel is back baby.
On a related note, shit is expensive, but I guess people don't care, because they (and me) are booking anyway.
How many times... This goes in bragging thread. Just on vacation days alone.

I did have the "benefit" of working part-time for most of the summer, so it wasn't as many vacation days as you think. As to the finances, I've decided to start early on my "die broke" plan. #yeetandyoloThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Find @ExtraSlow 's Mexico trip details (probably in another travel sub forum).
Book same flight.
Run into him at Mexico airport. Chat him up. Get on same bus to resort. Waterboard him with beers. Get to hotel front desk. Tell him you'll get him a upgrade and do all the talking.
Upgrade to a suite (even if it requires putting more on the credit card on file). Get the card key.
Enjoy your inflation proof accommodation and new found travel buddy.
That could work. I am susceptible to interrogation tactics.
