Co-ops definitely the play. Went last thursday morning and the store was fully stocked. Full produce, TP was available, frozen foods section was plentiful and not too busy.

It definitely costs more but at this point I'd rather just to one trip to a quiet store and go home. Not worth the stress / social interaction to deal with the bigger stores (though thats eating for 1; with a family the cost savings would be a lot higher)
WFH and lock down has save me $100 in gas and close to $300 eating out. The only thing I bought is wifi 6 router.

I heard that it's now a good time to call Shaw/Telus for retention deals. Colleague got a free up grade to 1Gbps FTTH service at same 150Mbps monthly rate.

For the ones still ordering in often, I don’t know the Marth, but you’re chances of getting the VID goes way up.

Why risk it? Just a question.

    Risk is relatively low.

It only survive on food and paper surface for 1hr or less. And if you really care, nuke it for a bit before consumption.

The risk would be mostly from the delivery driver and anything he touches.

I have relatives who do the "snowbird" thing and they have decided not to come back to Canada. Seems kind of crazy to me, but maybe a small community in Arizona is a relatively safe place to isolate?
Well, I guess they decided to try to come home. Saw on facebook they were in Idaho already. Wonder how the border crossing will go for a big motorhome and two senior citizens?

Land border like usual. It's not closed to returning citizens, afaik.

Well, they made it home and I think they are self-isolating, although they live in a small town so who knows how seriously they are taking this. I can tell they are spending too much time in front of the computer, as my facebook feed has filled up with their useless crap. Probably have to mute them for 30 days.

I think it's amusing no one is raising a stink about our government rescuing trapped people in other countries right now because they're mostly white people....
I know I am a few days late on this but, shut the fuck up with dis.

Social Media isolation isn't a bad thing right now. I made the mistake liking CBC Calgary on Facebook. The comments are vile.

The City of Calgary just cancelled all public events until Canada Day. This includes any permitted functions at City owned fields which mean minor sports like baseball & soccer will be toast. I'm starting to think our Disney trip at the end of August may not go either at this rate.

It finally hit my colleague's wife that Disneyland in July most likely won't happen given LA is a hotspot.

Some people are delusional. There's a 150k person festival in Vegas in May that just got postponed to October and people were freaking out and complaining. Like... How the fuck do you see what's doing on and thing it'll just disappear in 5 weeks?

Regarding thread title - I was supposed to be at Azuridge recently. So... Fuck.

I'm also about ready to unleash on a certain estate property in Canmore that chose to not be like the 95% of VRBO owners who offered a 100% refund and instead stole over $1,000 for a cancelled reservation. Just waiting to get the pesky $ actually in the account.

Had to jump through hoops to get back my money from airbnb for my LA trip that was cancelled. Was almost 3 weeks before getting full refund but got it in the end.

What are your guys' thoughts on local travel? I've been thinking about driving down to Calgary to visit my parents, basically pile family into vehicle in my garage and drive straight to their place no stops etc. Spend maybe 4 days there and then head back home.
