Hopefully Calgary gets the pilot program instead of Toronto. I'd love to go somewhere outside of Canada before year's end.

Need the Atlantic Bubble to accept that as well for domestic travel.

    Well that ship has sailed.

So since Canada came off EU's list, does that mean you'll be quarantine mode when you land there?

    Awesome, thanks for that.

As far as I can tell, no Canadian carriers are offering flights to Hawaii right now. Hopefully that changes with this announcement as the US connections are brutal.

Off white list = no non-essential entry, period.

White list = quarantine upon arrival. But each member state has different rules on that.

International flights out of Calgary are moving the market?

    I think not

I still don't understand this. The amount of people I know who have gone to the states for vacation during what is supposed to be a non-essential travel restriction is astonishing. The only thing I can see they have in common is every one of them has flown down. Is travel by air some type of large gaping loop hole that I'm missing? Just yesterday a highschool friend and her husband were posting pictures of their vacation down in Boston.

Canada has banned incoming non-essential travel, the US doesn't give a fuck if you fly in. It's been that way the whole time.

Air border has been open the whole time. Daily flights to many sun destinations.

There are no restrictions flying to the USA to my knowledge. The 'snowbirds' I know have all booked their flights to Phoenix / Palm Springs.

Just don't try to drive down. THAT border is closed.

I would say yes. Family friends of ours sold their home in Arizona last month. They couldn't drive down to pick up their things or clean up the house because of restrictions, so they flew and was a non-issue.

With the initiation of rapid testing on the horizon, it seems highly likely that ground crossings will also be able to complete these tests soon.
