^ I'm hoping that the restrictions that the Feds have in place for travel end very soon as well. But I find it unlikely. Sister-in-law and kids aren't vaxxed and we are having our wedding this August. Looked for a rental car but the prices are nuts. They usually fly in for two months every summer. Haven't seen them since summer 2019.

Still time to get vaxed if they care about it.

I *think* only masks may go away. I don't think vaccination requirements are disappearing anytime soon. It'll be like taking off your shoes for US travel.

Whoa, whoa, that would be the proper, easy solution. At this point, I'd assume they don't care enough to come out here because they won't get it.

Possibly I wasted $200. You're all welcome, I definitely spurred this on by paying. Haha

I have a trip to Indiana next week and one to Vegas a couple weeks later. I doubt they will get rid of it before next week but I'll keep my fingers crossed for the middle of June.

That's sensible and reasonable and I support it.

Aside from wearing a mask in the airport / on the flight there is 0 difference from pre-pandemic flying out of Calgary. Apparently the Toronto airport is fucked from under-staffing but the rest of Canada is business as usual.

honestly even international travel has been 0 different aside from the masking for me.

Avoiding travel through Toronto is always a pro tip.

    Only Toronto is messed.

When busy they had something called metered departure, so on arrival once your plane gets to the gate (assuming they had staff to get the plane to the gate), they will only let your off the plane if you have a boarding pass for a connection within 1.5h. Otherwise you're stuck on the plane as they let a few people off every few mins. Its caused absolute mayhem. Delayed flights, gate changes, psycho karens yelling. Its WILD

I don’t travel becuase I have a toddler and travelling with a toddler sucks. Covid has nothing to do with it.

I remember seeing an FA ask someone to have their baby wear a mask. I thought that was funny.

I havent been wearing a mask in the airports except for through security then boarding the plane

Only place that challenged me was one guy at Saskatoon, I put it up, walked by him and took it off again

You're all welcome. Certainly because I paid for the covid confirmation test to avoid testing for 90 days after having covid.
