Somehow the least effective mandate(masks) is going to hang around the longest.

Britain's government said Monday all remaining coronavirus measures for travellers, including passenger locator forms and the requirement that unvaccinated people be tested for COVID-19 before and after their arrivals, will end Friday to make going on holiday easier for the Easter school vacation.

The best thing about this is our government tends to operate based on embarrassment over what others are doing.

Hopefully it means we drop or lessen requirements soon.

Does it score any woke points to hold on longer to virtue signal or "proove a point" or anything?

Federal government to end pre-arrival COVID testing for travellers entering Canada
    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/fed...ting-1.6386763

Sounds like the end of the month the testing requirement for coming back to Canada will be dropped.

Need Westjet to run that "let someone else use your companion voucher" promotion again. Need to send my wife and one kid to Regina. I sure as fuck don't want to join them.
@ExtraSlow looks like your prayer has been answered, got this email this morning

    Be their travel accomplice
For a limited time, we want to give you another way to use your companion voucher - for two others to fly without you. Between March 19‑31, 2022, when you make the booking, the first guest will pay full fare and their travel companion will fly with them at your reduced companion voucher rate. This is a special offer for vouchers expiring on or before June 30, 2022 only.

I will have to investigate. There's a lot of caveats to unpack.

Hmmm, missing a companion voucher that I should have had in my account. Where did that go? Going to see how long the hold times are.

I I’ll be good to have that sorted out in time for your estate.

So somehow, the companion voucher that wasn't showing up in my online account DID show up for the agent at WestJet, so we got all that sorted out and booked for wife and kid to go to Regina to use it up along with a pile of westjet dollars, not much real money required. Calling that my win for the day.
Thanks @taemo for the ping there.
