Flare has round trips to Toronto for $70/person
Yes, I have delayed trips due to concerns with the virus.
No, I am proceeding as planned with all travel.
Yes, but I will take precautions and still go.
The Corona threat is all a bunch of hogwash.

What would possess someone to pay money to go to Toronto for is another debate altogether.

I booked a trip to Toronto for a weekend, hit up some bluejays games and peace out. $230 for 2 of us roundtrip, yolo.
A lot more shit to do there than in Alberta. I sure as hell wouldn't want to live right in Toronto, but it's a fun time to go visit for few days. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Been once
Did the HHOF, CN Tower and a couple of great restaurants but all in, it's not really that good
Then drove to Niagra Falls and Niagra on the lake, also not particularly amazing
I maintain that you could plop the average person right on Centre & Centre (or the equivalent) in any North American city and save for a couple that have landmarks or specific architecture, you couldn't tell the difference between them
Niagara is amazing shitty. Even as a kid, it was laughable.
Also fun fact, they turn the falls water flow down at night.
Other than NE US, there is very little history in other cities. Everything was built up mostly around the same time, hence cookie cutter designs. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
NA travel (in cities anyway) is more about events than city tours.
So if I book with Westjet and shit goes sideways and I need to cancel, I get a Travel Bank credit right?
But in the booking process, it says the following for booking a 'Basic Economy Fare'
I cannot: earn WestJet dollars or Travel Bank and that this booking does not count toward my WestJet Rewards qualifying spend
Seems as tad confusing, I must be misunderstanding.

I've had to cancel WJ flights a couple of times last year and cancellation is free. instead of refunding you to your original form of payment, you just credited on your travel bank that you can use for later booking. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Shitty thing is that WJ accepts only 2 form of payment so you just need to make sure that if you have WJD and TB, your flight can be paid by both otherwise you have to pay.
Basic Economy basically just means that you dont earn WJD or TB by flying that way (I earned 0.25 TB by flying to Hawaii LOL)

Small update to this. It used to be that it was 2 forms of payment PER BOOKING unless you used the call centre and now it's 2 forms of payment PER TICKET through the website. So if you are sending 2 or more people, you can easily use three forms of payment in that single booking. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's a small thing, but important in some cases.

I don't think any voluntary is forfeited. Wife just canceled (friday just past) a flight to Cranbrook. Got travel credit. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Found this:
Change/cancel policy for flights booked March 3, 2020 – March 21, 2022
You can book a new flight with confidence. If COVID-19 affects your travel plan you can adjust with the following flexible change/cancel policy:
All flights booked between March 3, 2020 and March 21, 2022 will be allowed a $0 one-time fee waiver for changes or cancellations
Change or cancellation must be requested more than 24 hours from departure
If you cancel your flight, the funds will be returned as a Travel Bank credit; any portion paid with WestJet dollars will be returned to your account and the original expiration date (if applicable) will apply.

For some reason tho, I thought they were giving voluntary cancellations refunds, not credits. Did they do that at one time?

No because driving 2-5 hours to recreation opportunities is extremely reasonable in Ontario, and does not impact your quality of life in any negative way.
