I guess as long as you can still launder your cash through their casinos, you're a welcomed visitor.

Moving the wedding in Maui AGAIN, targeting October, rules are too inconsistent and I don’t want guests getting the side eye when the get back from covid Karen’s.

I *was* going to head to emerald lake to celebrate my anniversary of my legal wedding instead, but looks like Horgan is going to fuck that up too. FML.

I think side-eye will persist through the entire calendar year of 2021.

Don't actually think Horgan is going to accomplish anything other than pissing people off. I predict ZERO restriction on cross-border travel into BC, but what do I know?

Do the NDP usually operate in order to accomplish something? I thought accomplishing things was generally against their goals.

General attitudes in bc seem to be taking more of an upturned nose to anything that isn’t real estate. “Forestsry? Think of the trees!Oil? Filthy and out of date! Tourism? BC for BCers!”

How much of bc’s economy is tied to real estate now?

We've taken the position of not booking anything until virtually EVERYTHING is back to normal-ish. WE usually plan & book our vacations 8-12 months in advance and at this point I don't have any faith in anyone being able to accurately predict what the world will look like that far in advance. Spring Break 2022 is my guess for when we as a family will be doing any international travel. As for BC and their attitude, fuck those guys, they're not getting a dime of my money in 2021. The Columbia valley, Okanagan & Shuswap are economically screwed without AB tourist money.

Unfortunately the in-laws live in the kootenays. Worst case we can fill up on the Alberta side of the border and park in their garage if they pass the ban and hold it through summer. I suspect interior folks would be pissed if they did, I find a lot of people who own businesses in that area are actually quite appreciative of ANY customer, and it is more of the costal folk who push the wing nut government to victory.

This poll is missing an option. Second guessing or holding off travel plans due to government ineptitude and uncertainty.

I just booked Mexico for the family. But I am doing it with caution and I took every insurance I could get. Pretty insane that with travel accounting for less than 2% of our covid spread, that there is a chance the government might ban you from coming back to your own country, while simultaneously doing nothing about the 98% of community transmission.

Bunch of new restrictions added today including airlines canceling flights to Mexico and Caribbean until the end of April and testing required when you land as well as before you get on the plane.

So, at Week-46 we are getting quite close to realizing that airplanes full of people from outside Canada have been dumping inFected people into our cities the entire time and doing zero isolation while we are told to stay in our homes and fret about TP.
I mean, was haven't totally figured that out, but we're getting close.

The trip I just booked, they cancelled the flights(guessing due to it being so empty) Jan 21st. I was waiting to see what Fuhrer Trudeau said about this recent announcement to gauge if it was even worth trying to rebook on different dates. Obviously mental health just took another huge dive into the shitter, no winter escape for us now.

If your beard looks like that, there's a price to pay and you deserve everything that happens to you.
