We had a minor fight about it back in the day when I was living in Calgary and posting a lot - and he wasn't.

Now, I mostly lurk and he posts a lot.

I believe his account predates mine by a small amount.
I don’t think I would call it a fight I simply petitioned that you should get a new username since it is/was confusing

Anyways I don’t really care anymore

I've been freaking itching to go somewhere and have a few days in a couple of weeks but out of province travel is kinda out of the question with everything happening and I am so sick of your typical Banff/Jasper/Lake Louise crap. Is there anything else to do in Alberta for a 2-3 days? I don't ski/snowboard well so that's not the purpose, just somewhere relaxing to hang out and check out the sights? And no the Dinosaur museum in Drumheller is not an option.

Dogsledding? Nordic Spa? Jasper Planetarium? Hot Springs?

Otherwise, no idea it's a pretty quiet year. Skoki lodge is kinda cool if you wanna do the trek in.

You did this for Maui? I'm not aware of any issues preventing us from heading over there, including approved testing, am I missing something? (really hope not)

Travelers who, upon entry into the state, provide written confirmation from a state-approved COVID-19 testing facility of a negative test result from a test administered to the traveler within 72 hours from the final leg of departure, will be able to bypass Hawaii’s mandatory quarantine order. Additionally, as of November 24, 2020, travelers wishing to bypass the 14-day mandatory quarantine must have their negative COVID-19 test results - from a trusted testing partner - prior to departure for the State of Hawaii. See our Hawaii Testing Details section for more information.

14 day quarantine unless you have a negative test from this list BEFORE your last leg flight is how I read it.

I followed the links on WestJet's website and made it to this page - https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel-partners/

Ah, I was flying Alaskan on points and all their links took me to American testers. Regardless, everyone in the party wanted to cancel for their own reasons.

We'd lose a good amount of money unless the people who own the property were extremely understanding.

I really hope for your sake that Maui doesn't pull a Kauai. They're forcing 14-day isolation regardless of testing as of Dec.2

Have a look at the yyc departures for all the sun destinations. Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Cancun etc.

And it's the government's fault that the virus is raging out of control?

If you lose your job/business because of covid, make sure to blame the right people..."fun in the sun! yay!"

Kind of the problem though. Our government wants to be the least restrictive as possible relying on people doing the right thing. Turns out people are selfish assholes and refuse to do the right thing, so it forces the government to either be more restrictive, or watch as cases go up exponentially. I'm just waiting to hear Shandro tell us to look in the mirror, lol. He's probably thought about saying it more than once.

Remember. It’s up to everyone else to control this pandemic. Not me though, nothing I do will affect anything.

Lot of assumptions being made here if any of this is pointed in my direction, which I feel it was.

Really starting to hate this fucking forum.
