Yes, I have delayed trips due to concerns with the virus.
No, I am proceeding as planned with all travel.
Yes, but I will take precautions and still go.
The Corona threat is all a bunch of hogwash.

Pubs and stores opened up on Monday. Oh the temptation to go and have a pint in a pub. I stayed home instead. The English part of me cried .
I went for a walk instead.
R Numbers are around .8 to 1.0. Cases are going down. Mum is waiting to get her second vaccination next week.
Vaccinations are open for those over 45. My sisters got vaccinated (I didn't as im too young). Families are starting to meet again.
They are introducing a fine of $5k GBP if anyone wants to travel out of the UK without a legitimate reason. A form must be completed. This of course does not apply to me. So flying out for a holiday here is a no go if you are a brit.
In terms of travel, Canada has tightened up wording in regards to the mandatory quarantine upon port of arrival. Im gonna book my flight home next week after we scattered dads ashes on Saturday (in Windsor). The Queen and family will be attending and dad will be getting a gun salute. That is rather nice of them I must say. The BBC will be broadcasting also. If anyone you guys are watching on the BBC. Have a look for a little boat on the river around 7.30am Canadian time. That will be us.
I'l update the thread I created in regards to traveling for family emergencies. I'l do it next week when I fly. Im just a bit burned out with all thats going on.

Condolences and safe travels, brother! @tonytiger55
What kind of high profile people do we have on beyond that the Queen will be in attendance and BBC covering it?

Looks like probably no chance I’m going to be heading to my parents cabin in BC this summer at this rate...

There is no fucking way they can enforce a checkpoint on highway 1 without slaughtering their economy.

Ahem - pick up a used Kenworth from Kijiji for $25K. BAM - automatic essential service provider and get waived through the checkpoint....pulling an Air Nautique boat lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm only partly kidding. Lots of us in the same , well.....boat. Suddenly, plans to spend the entire summer out there at our place got interesting.
Current projection is hitting peak by May 2nd and 20-25% worse than Christmas wave.
I think this week will be our peak. Between restrictions (even if only some are following) and high schools shutting down (at least in Calgary) that'll be enough to flatten things off. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Free to fly to BC if ya want to go. Shit fly to Victoria and rent an RV?

We need flights to Terrace in June and they are $550. Flights to Van are cheap though. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Sounds like BC is not allowing travel up until the end of May long weekend though so I'll have to keep a close eye on the rules.
It's truly boggling my mind how many people can't be bothered with local vacationing for 18 months. Not just here, but what I see of Facebook and at work too.
Apparently our province is just that shitty, that they lose their minds when facing the reality of being stuck in a 660,000 sq.ft area.
A big part of the Canadian dream is escaping to somewhere warm for a week so that you don’t blow your brains out spending the other 51 weeks a year here grinding it out paying taxes.
So yea. I get it.

I meant BC in the summer. Tropics in the winter I completely understand.
