What’s PEI known for to dictate passes?

There are only 3 ways to get there, so it's been super easy for them to shut themselves off from the rest of Canada and avoid CoVid. They've had (I hope you're sitting down) a grand total of 200 cases in the last 15 months and zero deaths.
Because Canada isn't a country under Hair Justin's "leadership" they have been allowed to maintain a "state of emergency" despite often going in stretches of several weeks with zero new cases.
They've also been allowed to team up with the other Atlantic provinces to essentially declare themselves a higher class of Canadian citizens where they let themselves and their Atlantic bum buddies travel around but refuse entry to the rest of Canada. Except this year, they're all different versions of too stupid to even get that done.

It's appalling. It's like a George Orwell novel for Jr. High students full of racist lessons. Except it's real.

I applied before the new pass existed and they just waffled on the application today. Apparently, I failed to include the birth certs or passports for ALL travelers and then they said I failed to upload a property number that there never was an option to even upload.
Oh, and the whole thing doesn't allow you to submit on Firefox, but they don't tell you that.

Once it's all fixed, they will likely make me reapply with whatever missing gaps (like vaccination proof) for the PEI pass.

I just hope this nukes what’s left of their tourism sector.

I know we have few recent beyond parents here, anyone planning to travel anytime soon with a kid?

Pretty dumb decision having to quarantine a kid for 14 days yet parents are free to go out.
Under 12 can't still get vaccinated until possibly later fall.

My family travel will. Be cancelled if the quarantine requirement is not removed.

I’m planning a trip in October? Though that’s pretty far out.

I’d go away tomorrow if there was a logical place. But summer is nice enough here that I’ll probably stick around

Dunno what we will do if quarantine is still a thing, depends if my wife is working or not.

We’re not doing any international travel till the younger kids are vaccinated. Not worth the headaches.

We’re already traveling every weekend for baseball.

we might do a mexico 5 day trip in early 2022, not taking kids and only doing 5 days so we aren't asking to much of parents. there doesn't appear to be much info on kids being vaccinated, so i'd rather book something and take the kids on the next one.

yeah we might reschedule our international trip until early next year instead unless things changes and they lax the rules for kids under 12.
still have our trip booked for late October but will wait September/early October to cancel and reschedule them

Pfizer already running trials. Expected timeline for emergency authorization is mid September for 5-11 year olds, early October for 2-5 year olds, and around November for 6 months-2 year olds assuming everything goes smoothly and data looks good. Expecting AB to do what we did for the 12-16 age group, open it up immediately based on US emergency authorization.

Trying to book flights to London from Calgary and even though it’s saying non stop, there’s a forced stopover in Toronto? WestJet

Maybe one of those flights where they sell half the seats in one place then fill the rest of the seats in another location on the way? Sucks to stop but at least u won’t have to get out of your seat

Most locals do NOT want tourism there. Their jobs don't directly rely on it, so all it does is ruin their commute and clog up the stores and restaurants.
Jesus you really do live in some fantasyland.
