    Something is being wildly misinterpreted.
No one, anywhere in Alberta can go to work showing symptoms.
That's what the policy is at my Wife's hospital, I don't know what to tell you. She sat down with her manager and that's what she was told so that's what we have to follow.

I think you need to clarify that it’s NEW symptoms. If someone has a chronic cough that they have had for 40 years of smoking, that’s not a new symptom that warrants staying home forever. Or if someone knows they get allergies in the spring and has a runny nose in late April on a dry dusty day then that’s not really a reason to stay home either.

Healthy guy with a cough out of nowhere? Yeah stay the fuck home dude.

At least that’s my interpretation of it.

we just booked our flight to Oahu for later this October as we usually like to book 6-9months in advance.

figured we can always cancel and reschedule it if 2 weeks quarantine is still mandatory but hopefully not.

Are you guys finding accommodation in Hawaii with good cancellation policies? That's usually the hard part (especially with private rentals) as I think most of the airlines are pretty flexible now.

so far we just booked 4 nights in Waikiki with no deposit required hotel and cancellable 1 week prior.
trying to figure out where we want to stay for the later half in the windward/north shore side as if we go airbnb then yeah cancellation policies can get tricky.

Yeah hotels are probably not too bad, that might be the safest bet this time around. We learned our lesson last year with AirBnb, thankfully the host chose to lie to AirBnb during the dispute which ultimately ended up with us getting a full refund. I guess as long as you pay attention to the cancellation policy you should be OK. VRBO is probably worse than AirBnb but there aren't as many AirBnB's in Hawaii as a lot of them are run by rental companies.

Wedding is booked in October for Maui but I’m dragging my heels on flights as they don’t have direct flights yet for our dates. West jet mentioned they would be adding more dates once traffic picks up.

The place we booked through VRBO has a 2 week full refund for any cancellation, and full refund within with proof of a positive Covid test within 72h of your flight. Not a lot of places have that going though, we skipped our normal condo rental because bthey haven't changed any of their refund rules.

That's pretty good for a VRBO, usually they are the stingiest.

Hey, been asked to look into this for work. I guess certain "essential" people qualify for business travel without quarantine. I know one dude who has some letter that let's him do regular trips to USA without issue on return, but he has no idea who in his company got it.

Is there clear written guidance for this anywhere I can point to? Honestly I'd be just as happy of we couldn't get this done, woukd save me some hassle.
