It's like "before-times" for the most part. Masks 100% and there will be a couple people who don't follow the rules well and they get reminded by the attendants. Bring an extra mask if your flight is >2.5 hr because it gets stuffy.
The worst part is there seems to be no additional food options even on flights >4.5hr so then they run out of pretzels and they don't do as many water runs, so that's pretty shitty.

I took a flight to Ontario last week with aircanada one way and westjet for the return. Both flights were on the 787-9 dreamliner. Not only did they have food, they gave you a free snack and drink on the economy class and you could buy extra food from the attendants. On the way back I took westjet and I was moved to premium where they gave me a full 3 course dinner.

I was in the re branded Max8 planes. Two rounds of free snacks/Coke with optional purchased beer. Zero water runs in 4+ hours! Only other food option was buying a KitKat or some other tiny bullshit snack. No sandwiches or anything with substance.
So of course they run out of pretzels by the second run. It was stupid, but I didn't really care because we had brought piles of food anyways.

Very few people purchased alcohol so I think that kept things from getting rowdy at the lack of food. I've never seen so fucking many toddlers, babies and fucking dogs on a plane.
By the way society - Fuck. Your. Dogs. Give them a fucking children's gravol and let the other 95% of us relax or put them in a God Damned crate below deck.

Did a WJ flight last month to the thriving metropolis of Brandon Manitoba, smaller plane with just rows of 4 seats (2+2), almost full both ways and also a shit ton of toddlers/babies. One round of snacks/drinks and we got the booze so we could toss tin cans at the bratty kids. Masks required the whole time in airport and plane. They are recommending showing up earlier as airport is short staffed so security does take longer than usual, but my wife is paranoid about that so it felt like we got there almost a day early. Flight was also delayed about 30-40 mins due to ground crew being short staffed.

Flew to Amsterdam direct 3 weeks ago via Westjet Dreamliner. We weren’t certain if you had to be at the airport earlier for international flights in light of Covid, so elected to give ourselves 3 hours. As we decided against checked bags, we could have easily gotten away with 2 hours lead time; this was flying out on Sunday evening. Masks are mandatory while in airports and for the duration of flights except while eating and drinking. Water was offered intermittently, meals per normal pre-Covid times. If you fly economy, you are given one disinfectant wipe out of a tub to wipe down your seat. If flying business, you get a complimentary sanitation ‘kit’ for your pod.

We are still in Europe and have stayed/visited Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and Italy thus far. Have another 3 weeks to go before we return home and head off to Costa Rica. You’d think Covid does not exist here. Masks are only mandatory indoors. Be sure to bring hand sanitizer as they are seldom seen here. Lastly, be sure to prepare any country-specific Covid documents for customs, though we were only asked to produce same upon arrival at the airport; have never been asked to provide same at border crossings via car.

Anyone have a coles notes of what’s currently in effect for BC restrictions?

Their website makes it seem like nothing different than here, but I thought there were a bunch more restrictions than that?

Wear a mask indoors. Pretty simple.

Sept 13 provide proof of vaccine basically everywhere.

    EZPZ.

Might hit Vancouver next weekend, so none of that passport stuff will affect me ( not that I’m not vaccinated, but seems like an annoyance to carry around my paperwork).

Do people really think this will suffice as “evidence”? An undescriptive screen that doesn’t even have my name on it?

Seriously. It contains so little information I don’t even mind posting it on the internet.

I can’t wait to have to justify that to an underpaid service worker every time I feel like some McNuggets.

My guess is the original vaccination reports you got when you had your shots are the only “evidence” that will suffice.

If you go to Vancouver and like meat check out Zakkushi on Denman. So good. But also so easy to spend and eat a ton haha.

I just screenshotted my Abhealth vaccine information and that should be good when it’s required

Will keep that in mind! I actually know very little about van’s restaurant scene.
