Truck is looking awesome, but I agree with the mud flaps.
I've had two windshields taken out by dickheads with massive mudders and no mud flaps.

So no mudflaps for 1 month now and I don't have any chips or dings around the lower fender area. I think the fenders themselves actually do most of the work, because I do have significant amount of chips on the plastic black fenders, even with the mudflaps though, so I think most rocks are hitting up in that spot.
With that said, the plan is to put the mudflaps back on soon once I get a chance to dremel them down and find a way to make them fit better without rubbing. My dremel crapped out 2 weeks ago so I'm kinda waiting for a decent sale to buy a new one.
Upgraded the reverse lights to some Prolightz PL1 T15 bulbs, I really like these ones...

I also got a new dashcam unit sent to me in the mail, this time from a new company to me called Vantrue, they sent me out their N4 Model to do some reviews / marketing photos for them. It's a 3 channel dashcam which is really cool, geared more towards uber / taxi's to record inside the vehicle. The unit itself is pretty cool though with one of the widest FOV's I've seen on a dashcam, 1440p, and 1080 interior + 1080 rear. I'll have some example footage in a week or so of this!

That's an awesome looking Tacoma!
Got out into the mountains this past weekend and really enjoyed taking the Taco' down some of those gravel roads down behind Canmore (Spray Lakes) etc. and I realize comparing it to the WRX is like apples to oranges but the truck just handles those gravel roads so nicely, especially since getting the new tires. It's still bumpy, but it's alot less 'jolting' if that makes sense and I don't feel like I'm about to break or damage something haha... (has anyone beat my record on 4 front lips ripped off yet??)
We hiked a spot that we had attempted last Summer and had to turn back on because of downpour rains once we got about half way up (which when you're determined to climb a mountain, is such a defeated feeling, it really sucks turning back after so much determination) so I'm really stoked on completing this one!!
Skip to 1 min. mark in t he video for just the cool stuff.. gopro on the hat mount for the ridge walks and scramble spots haha!

I also picked up a new lens, the Sony 85 1.8, and it's reeaaaal nice... got out to shoot a few other cars in the past week... All the Subaru friends who aren't in Subi's anymore ;D ;D

Spray lakes road has been in brutal shape this year too with the amount of traffic on it. Do love taking the taco on it though!
What other mountains on your list?
I drove up spray lakes this weekend in the RS and it sure was sketchy. Usually I bomb down it
Sidewall is the key, and your taco has it.

The north section was so bad for a bit, but then it got a little better in the truck thankfully, very comfortable and also so nice being higher up!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Next on the list (next week) will be Devil's Thumb, we didn't attempt that last summer but it was on the list. After that, Tower of Babel, but not sure if that will be this year or not!
Last summer we did the usual Hai Ling, EEOR, Yamnuska, and we also did Three Sisters Trail which kind of wraps around and brings you up on the more East side of the mountains there. That one was awesome BUT sketchy, very sketchy in some parts. The trail head for that begins down on Spray Lakes too, there's a whole bunch of sticks jammed into the ground where it begins and you're climbing up / over big rock (perhaps a old rock slide) for a good first few km's.
We're starting some planning for 2021, if all goes to plan, we want to do a 2 week road trip camping down in Colorado. There's a smaller YouTube / Tacoma group we might link up with from down there and do some hikes / camping!
So many cool thins coming in the next few weeks...
RA Motorsports bed racks and custom made molle panel
Tent is still TBD, I'm trying to kind of find a low budget basic option. They're all so expensive
New headlights coming maybe in a week they're still being made.
Installing another set of SS3's with Diode's new ditch brackets today / this weekend also.
I have a set of Diode's SS6 lights that I might put facing rear or sides on the bed racks. Also got oem style switches for interior.

I wonder if just the mass increase in people going out hiking and camping this Summer has really taken a toll on that road, and perhaps budget cuts on maintenance? It was the worst I'd ever seen! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
i think its both, the number of people is insane on that road this year.
You should add Indefatigable and Temple to your list if you're banging out Babel
Babel lookin like a big challenge hahaha, I think we'll need to find climbing helmets, not that we'd be climbing, but I've heard the rocks falling from the scramble is suuuper sketch!? Ah man once you do one you're addicted though hahahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You should really be rolling a helmet for any scramble these days. See the death on Yamnuska that was really more due to falling rock due to others. You definitely want one for Babel as you're in the shooting alley the whole way up
Installed the new Diode Dynamics kit for the SS3 Ditch Lights. Same lights are the foglights but they came out with a nice simple and low profile bracket that mounts to the hood for bottom pillar lights. I spent probably close to 10 hours on this one and I think it's my most favorite editing sequence to date. I basically uninstalled the old video software I was using so that I could really force myself to learn Premiere Pro and now I'm saying to myself what I think everyone does who makes the switch.."Why didn't I do this years ago!!"

Where did you order your Diode Dynamics kit from?
I get everything from ProLightz here in Canada, they're just over in Quebec but have free shipping for Canada! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Went and explored a bit last night, and the new Sony 85mm lens has really motivated me to want to shoot more. I realized everything I shot is in portrait, but this lens just feels like it neeeeeds to be shot in portrait haha, everything just looks soo good!!
