The only correlation I have ever personally noticed between jerk drivers and vehicle types are lifted diesel trucks - seems like a disproportionate amount of them are jerks, but that is purely anecdotal. By far and away the worst drivers (in terms of not knowing how to drive) I have ever encountered are soccer mom types, regardless of vehicle. When I travel to other countries, it's like people all of a sudden know how to drive - Calgary has always stuck me as particularly bad in that sense.

Generally speaking, people driving expensive cars are more successful.

On a basic level, the ingredients for success - assertiveness, decisiveness, lack of patience for ineptitude - would be seen as "negative" driving behaviours by the general population that struggles constantly. It's not surprising that these strugglers view people in nicer cars as aggressive, or "jerks".
