Default Private Hot Tub in Hotel - Would You?

I'll soon be staying in a room at a luxury hotel, with a private hot tub, and I'm just wondering if I'm over thinking how clean the hot tub water may be. The hotel is very high end so I know the water will be well maintained but, from what I've heard, even the best maintained hot tubs are still pretty gross because it's impractical to change / reheat the water between each guest. Wondering what Beyonder's opinions are here.

If you knew a hot tub in your high end hotel room was being properly maintained, would you use it or would you avoid it?

Do you ever swim at public pools? Visit public hot springs? I do not see what the difference really is if you are fine with any other type of public swim/soak.

I would use it. No different than a public pool or public hot tub. Riding transit, using public washrooms, or going on a plane are probably all higher risk if you're worried about germs and cleanliness. Also if people were constantly getting sick from those areas, it would be a liability and it probably wouldn't be offered.

Probably cleaner than the cutlery in the hotel restaurant. No worries.

Wouldn't be worried at all. Filters + Chemicals will catch/eliminate everything within reason. Like Mitsu said, the airplane is likely orders of magnitude more disgusting than anything else you'll be exposed to on your trip.

If you want 100% ejaculate, you're really gonna have to shell out the big bucks.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

If you pee in it first, all the previous germs will be neutralized. I read it on the internet.

I used a hot tub at Holiday Inn and it cured my Coronavirus. Only the strong survive in those tubs.

No different than public pools and hot tubs. Just take a shower after and don't get any water in your mouth. If you are really paranoid, drain the water, do a quick scrub down and refill it.

Maybe there was some violet leaf oil in the water.

So we just went to Mexico and stayed at an all inclusive, and I noticed that neither the pool nor the hot tub smelled like chlorine. Also if you opened your eyes underwater it didnt hurt at all. So I asked the staff what they treat the water with. They dont use pool strength chlorine. They use bleach. And bleach is only about 5% chlorine. Also I saw the bottle they were using to add to the hotel pool water and it was tiny. I didnt think it was very satisfactory at all, and I dont know if this is common in places outside of canada/usa

Was it salt water? Salt water pools usually require a lot less chlorine.

    Hot Tub/Pool/Spa 101:

If it smells like chlorine, burns your eyes, or makes your skin itch, its not a well maintained tub. What smells or irritates you is chloramines, which is the off gas from the oxidation of chlorine. If you smell the chloramines, its likely because you dont have ENOUGH chlorine as its been used up eating up the oils/bacteria. Using bleach is very common as it will raise the amount of free chlorine (available to be used) without effecting the balance of other water chemicals. Trichlor/Dichlor or "Pool Chlorine" still always has a place because not only does it increase free chlorine, it increase the Cyanuric Acid concentration which is a chlorine stabilizer. Too much Cyanuric Acid can actually reduce the effectiveness of the free chlorine. The proper way to manage a chlorinated pool or spa is use stabilized chlorine (trichlor/dichlor) to get a good balanced baseline of free chlorine and Cyanuric Acid then maintain the chlorine level with bleach. The caveat to this with outdoor pools/spa's as the sun can break down Cyanuric Acid and adding more stabilized chlorine may be required on a frequent bases or if sunny enough, may be enough by itself.
