Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
For those of you who use PCExpress AKA Click-and-collect" from superstore, have you noticed this? My favourite store (Westwinds FAAAR NE) much have either added significant staff, or opened more slots, or something, because the available of pickup slots has really improved this week. You can get slots as close as 2 days out, where for a while it was 10-14 days out you had to order.
That's as good as it ever was I think. Still don't think I'll go back to my "local" Huntington store. They hurt me too bad . . .

Dafuq is with meat prices? Wife did a big Superstore trip last night, and meat is almost half what it normally is.
Boneless chicken was $17.50, usually $30 for the same size.
The meat supply chain is completely fucked right now. I’m noticing a lot of shit on the shelves is damn near expiring.

Farmers are burying animals that they can't get processed. Meat is a weird business.
Also, check out the pork bellies futures contracts pricing. Has a similar shape to the oil futures crash . . . .

Circling back on the PCExpress pickup slot availability discussion (that I was basically having by myself). After months of being able to get next-day slots pretty much any day, and same-day pretty often, it's gotten tighter again. Now slots are 2-3 days out, which requires a lot more planning and certainty of my schedule. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not sure if the number of slots has gone down, or demand went up. I'm betting on the former. Heard there was an outbreak at the Loblaw's distribution center. Haven't been inside a superstore to notice if the shelves look empty.

The one near us has gone to shit in the last 2 months. Hard to get a spot, when we book it, twice now they haven't had the order ready that day, and it's been pushed one or two days, and they're getting lazy as fuck. Last order had nine things "out of stock". My wife went inside to find an equivalent, and 6 of the exact product she ordered, were on the shelves.
I was having a lot of problems with Huntington location. Switched to Westwinds, and have been happier. Now just need a timeslot. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My wife has been doing these services and I would agree across the board the people picking orders are incredibly lazy.
The last 2 orders we made they have cancelled our time slot as well which puts you in this limbo where you are waiting around holding your dick and they won’t answer the phone to tel you whether your order is ready or not.
That and it’s so busy during pickup windows it really becomes debatable whether you are saving any time...

Yeah that has literally never been an issue at Westwinds. Have always gotten my parking spot and longest I waited was 15 minutes, and for my weekly $150+ trip, that would take me an hour in-store.
Agree if your location fucks up the pickup, that makes it hard to justify.

Same issues as you guys, they don't look very hard to find the items as we've found them on the shelf when they cancelled it off the list.
Waiting 45 min for click and collect kind of defeats the purpose (Hamptons Loc).
Service was good twice back in summer since then, just a cluster mess of half your order doesn't get filled so you're driving elsewhere to get it (this was before we decided to see if it was in the Superstore (which it is)).
Minimum wage employees doing their job to a minimum wage standard.
I sincerely hope none of you are surprised by this.

Per HR friend at Loblaws, there are staff that are breaking covid rules regularly, causing more spread and therefore less workers. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
(she blatantly hears them talking about their weekend gatherings, calls in AHS reports, and nothing happens)
Also I'm betting people are doing collect just so they don't have to get out of their car in -5°C

I am surprised, because it USED to be good, even before Covid. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The wait for PC express has been hit and miss. I always do a late night pick up, near close. Has usually been 5 mins or less for a large order. That is reasonable.
On some occasions its been 20+ mins. That is a waste of my time. I was the only one there.
If I am totally exhausted at the end of a week and I find we are out of essentials (bread/milk/eggs etc) I'll use Instacart.
Otherwise, don PPE, and go into store for a late night shopping run on Friday night (produce section is fully stocked at this time), and leave satisfied knowing that I got exactly what I need.

I’m surprised it was ever good.
Not that it matters to me, I don’t trust anyone else to pick my produce.
I considered using instacart in December when we were on quarantine however after reviewing their prices and noticing the difference (markups on individual items) we ended up using save on foods delivery which was much cheaper. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
