We're just buying lots of pasta and dry and canned beans. Basically something that we'd eat anyway. Also, stocking up on essential medication. The idea is it's 2 weeks where I can't go to a grocery store or pharmacy. I presume we'll have power/water/nat gas during that time. If we don't, I have 2 x 30lb propane tanks, a trailer, and a lifestraw family (purchased this back when I was in Alberta).

Anyone buying MRE's or food that can be stored long term?

I was considering a few buckets of Legacy's meals:

    https://totalprepare.ca/product/prem...rving-package/
I used MRE's for my 72 hour emerg kit when I was in Calgary. They only are good for 3-5 years though, so at year 4 we just starting eating them during day-hikes. Overall they taste fine (some of them are really good), and they are very convenient. They are bulky and heavy though.

I'm going to total prepare this weekend and i'll let you know what my initial perceptions are of these. I live in an earthquake zone so I plan on picking up one of those legacy kits from for long term storage anyway.

It would probably be bottled water and possibly some filters.
Canned food. Like Tuna, soup etc.

But main staple would be Onions, Garlic, and Ginger (possibly premixed jars). I have lots of dried beans and lentils to make East Indian food.

Are goldfish a good source of protein?
Get my nutrients from the algae growth.

The 40 gallon tank should be enough drinking water for a while too right?

I was going to say I’ll finally give the pooch a crack at the fat ass rabbits in the neighborhood he’s been hankering for.

Most of the big grocery chains websites are terrible for searching out product. I search canned meat and get articles and recipes.. Walmart and Superstore actually puts up the products..

The cold and flue aisle at Superstore was looking a little empty. Also when they did start locking up advil?

Ha times like this i wish i was smart and hoarded some of these but no I just buy like 4 or 5 at a time to eat at lunch when i work from home. Love adding veggies and meats to them to kick them up a notch.

had to resort to the non-spicy ones and will just add hot sauce
