I will share the strategy to my beyond brothers in arms.
-Show up to NE Costco at 8:40, there will be a line
-They will start letting people in at 8:45, you will be inside by 8:50
-Follow the lineup in store which wraps around all the way to the TP/Paper Towel section. It goes quick and you will have your product in hand by 9AM
-Pay using self checkout, you should be in your car with your paper gold by 9:10AM
What is this bullshit about certain Co-op stores closing??! Why does their website say zero about this when this link I got in the MeWards weekly liquor thing says the site is supposed to?
I cannot find info about this. Please embarrass me with the easily found information I can't seem to find.

Ive been hearing about certain Coop permenant closures for months now. I think they're just using this as the the bullet.
Went to costco in Beacon yesterday at 2 and it was even more pleasant than a sunday preapocalypse. We did have to wait about 5 mins to get in but once in it was pretty empty in there and when it came time to pay the longest line was about 3-4 people.

I can imagine they will start reducing hours and outright closing stores as they catch people coughing in the stores. Potential liability if you don't burn the security tapes.
I mean if you have footage of a guy hacking up a lung at the Starbucks order counter and you keep it open - then it could be seen as negligent to public health.

Stores also can have a problem with employees. Is it really worth the risk of a days wages if things start to get the point where everyone has a slight cough? Even a 1% chance of death vs coming into work for that day might cause the most honest person to say "I'm not feeling the greatest today, I think you better find someone else".
And then - no one is available to clean or run the store. Yup, as the apocalypse nears - things tend to snowball. Get supplies while you can.

Amazon now running short on paper towels, which is totally expected. I don't usually get surprised by things, but the selling out of fresh chicken around North America has me somewhat befuddled. Maybe people think that they might start banning fresh meat? considering this might have all started with someone eating a bat.
Chicken isn't all that far off bat, they both are flying creatures.
No doubt anyone on the skinny to "healthy weight" might want to think about bulking up to something closer to overweight - just in case. If Obese to start with, you probably want to trim down to "slightly overweight".

Not food, but shopping related. Had to go to Home Depot today for a some plumbing odds and ends. 20 person line-up to get in, because they are limiting the amount of people in the store. Waited in line for 10 minutes and it didn't budge. I felt like I was 20yo and waiting to get into a club . So I went to Lowes instead. In and out in 5 minutes.
Tuscany Home Depot for the win. 50 people in the store is normal there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Lowes on Macleod is lucky to have 20 people in it at any time BEFORE covid. Including staff, lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
My friend works there and said there was a line today as they were also limiting to 50 people. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Is there something I need to be buying from the hardware stores? Want to make sure to hoard the right things.

Honey do lists getting resolved.
My Facebook with the new bumps to GST and child tax - says the MLM mom crowd are shopping for fridges...
I stopped by there today, no line. Tons of staff though. The number of times I got greeted was almost on par with my last visit to Sporting Life. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
