If people on center street can’t figure out how a lane reversal works, how do we expect them to know how to share the road with a Train.
I can’t wait to see the clusterfuck caused by that Asian apartment building full of bought drivers licenses by Shikiji.

Instead of building stations along center st and in downtown they should just adopt Toronto's model of having all the people jump out of the train into the traffic.
I've driven a bunch in TO where they have above-grade trains (though shorter in length than the CTrain); seems to work just fine if you're not retarded and just treat the train like a bus or another vehicle...This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It's going to be street level? Wow. Thank god I live nowhere near this nightmare. Then again I might be dead by the time it's actually completed so it may not have mattered.

I too like to risk severe injury and/or death to prove a point on YouTube.

This was never really going to be a tunnel. That was just an idea so that they could look financially responsible and choose the cheaper option of the at grade option. Nenshi and Druh wanted a streetcar type of atmosphere along center street and this is how they are getting it. Want people want, isn't what they want. And since they are academics, they obviously know better than everyone else. The whole thing has been a giant clusterf*** since day 1.

The City just released the "cost-benefit analysis" of the Green Line yesterday, and they will then vote on the project today.
This is the only analysis I've seen, granted this group is against the line so form your own opinions.
https://www.commonsensecalgary.com/t..._cost_revealed
For those keeping track at home, the Green Line has now gone from $4.6 billion for 46km to $4.6 billion for 20km to $4.9 billion for 20km.
I am fully on board with the segment from downtown south. The river crossing and centre street options have been a shitshow the whole time. I use centre street 7 days a week and I can't support the plan they've shown.

I have a feeling they're going to push this through regardless of what that people have to say.
It's gonna be a mess however they do it tbh ... but I'd still rather them build it than not as we do need more trains for transit for the long term growth of the city. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That being said I rarely use center so I'm probably biased though I imagine my commute on edmonton trail will get worse as people shift over to there instead.
