Mercedes with another runaway in Q3. For some reason I thought their cars were not hooked up or something, but it seems like Party Mode wasn't enabled till Q3. Another second gap between Mercedes and the next team.

Albon and Vettel with a brutal weekend so far.

Also, how is Red Bull slower than last year? Their PU seems like it's a lot better, but was the wind or track surface that bad? We all know why Ferrari is slower, but RB have no excuse.

Bad aero. Unstable aero to be exact. Very difficult to keep the car on the track. Turn in a little too aggressive, aero gets disrupted, stalls and the rear lets go.

It’ll get fixed but it’ll be too late by then. Will be interesting to see if they can fix it and spoil Mercedes attempt at perfect season. I mean, that’s all we have to look forward to at this point haha.

The benefit of masks is not known at this time. But we do know it is some non-trivial amount more than zero.

We also know that the cost of mask use is, essentially, zero.

So the cost:benefit of mask use is approaching infinity. I'll take that every time. And every time I see someone without a mask, I think they are stupid.

Racing point is going to get worse as the season goes on. There's no way they understand that car like Mercedes does to develop and correct its faults. At least at RB and Ferrari they have a solid base for their aero concept.

The mercedes pace is like when I turn down the difficulty in the F1 games.
Was hoping to see Hulk in Q3 but it was still a good showing.

Wow, both Mercedes with tire issues? What's up with that?

    Edit, and Sainz too?

That was a snooze fest. Then lol fest.

Close call. The Mercedes 100% win still intact. Barely.

Anyone tried sharing their F1 TV Pro subscription with a buddy? I'm happy to share it with him, as long as it doesn't impede me watching the live race, or replays at the same time he's trying to watch them.

Could Ham have pitted with that tire? I guess theres questions whether the car was safe to drive with 3 tires

Looked safe enough to me, he managed to nurse it home and didn't disrupt anyone else's race. Now if it had been a lap earlier or at any other point in the race, he would've had to have pit for new tires and I'm quite sure there would've been a penalty if he had continued on for another lap with that tire. But it was the last lap and his tire didn't leave any noticeable pieces on the racing lines that would've affected someone else's race. The man is a beast, as much as I want to dislike him his ability to just get more out of a car is absolutely amazing - there are not many drivers out there like him in any series.

Fantastic drive by George Russell! A glorious 12th position. He definitely had Bottas and Vettel sweating.

Great drive by Hamilton. As much as a blatant hypocrite he is in regards to events outside of racing. It was good drive by him to hold it together.

Hulk to get a podium would be amazing, but we all know that Max is going to fuck his shit up once the race starts. Max qualified on the Hard compound too, so he's likely got overcut options on him.

It would be amazing if Hulk podiums!

Pretty much the only thing that makes this race worth watching. Well that and the last few laps when the tires start going Beirut.
