It's less to do with him getting dumped, than it is Ferrari and Vettel couldn't agree on terms. Money wasn't an issue, so the hang up has to be length of contract and maybe some clauses to prevent the shit show that was 2019 with Leclerc.

Depends on the perspective. Sure from Vettel's side they could not agree on terms on their relationship. He walks away and tells everyone they are still friends and broke up on amicable terms.

Ferrari on the other hand holds the bigger cards. If Vettel does not play ball... dump his arse. Get into bed with a younger driver, better marketing prospects, better investment for the future. Ferrari does not age. Drivers do and they need to manage the latter part of their career better. Vettel lost it last year when a younger driver came along. Vettel got dumped.

He should have focused on his drive with Ferrari last year. His driving last year showed that he is not a spring chicken anymore and not a team player. He should have focused his drive on helping push Leclerk up. Do the old master and apprentice routine at least. Through that, the focus could have been pushed on the Ferrari team to do better, rather than the drivers.

If you were Vettel, what would you guys do? Mercedes(very very unlikely IMO) or retirement? He doesn't strike me like a guy like Kimi who just wants to race. Vettel wants to be in a winning car.

If he can keep his cool. I'd actually like him in a Merc so they can bitchslap Ferrari.

Mercedes quitting F1, staying on as engine manufacturer. Aston Martin becomes works Mercedes team. Toto taking the talent there. Lewis already said he's going where Toto goes. Lewis and Stroll Canadian F1 team.

I would fucking love it if Hamilton went back to McLaren, but with them locking down Ricciardo I don't see that happening. Norris is locked down for another year, and Hamilton is probably too expensive for McLaren till they recover from this pandemic.

As for the Vettel noise, I have no idea what that was about. There's already talks about AM taking over MercedesAMGF1 factory, and with Toto investing in AM last year that makes way more sense.

Lawrence Stroll has way too much money, anything he can do to get Lance a F1 title haha. If that was truly the case, we won't see Hamilton at AM.
