Yup, over the last 5 years only one period (2018) was significantly different around this time. Obviously it's going to move around a bit. Definitely in the range of normal at -15 or so.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Q1 2015 AVG: -14.74
Q1 2016 AVG: -14.24
Q1 2017 AVG: -14.58
Q1 2018 AVG: -24.28
Q1 2019 AVG: -12.29
The latest forward curves from the banks are expecting it around the same for that period as well.
Lookie lookie. We got a trader in here!

The lighter streams have been trading a lot tighter than WCS and FX is up a few points but nothing is going to offset the ~$20 drop in WTI. Fall 2018 was worse with the stronger WTI but crazy -25 to -45 diffs. Some streams were under $100 CAD/M3 and that is before trucking, tariffs, and any other costs you might have.

WTI up 10%. Some rumored articles that Russia might go back to the talking table
That would be nice. As much as Russia and the Saudis like to swing their dicks around, higher prices are still better for them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Russia would look really stupid if they went back to the table so soon. I don't know what the "smart" move for them is, but I always thought the image of strength was something that they valued really highly.

Depending if they want Trump elected in Nov or not I think is the power move.
If I was them, I'd have the bot farms pumping up Bernie, but hey, I'm not political strategist. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My very simplistic analysis is that the worse the USA economy does, the better Russia feels. Is that not accurate?

Agree, but why did they appear to support Trump 4 years ago? Neither person's stance has changed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Trump: "America FIRST!!"
Sanders: "Green New Deal to eviscerate the evil energy industry!"
I think they like political discourse and chaos more than any single leader or party.
Americans destroying America is what's best for them.
America is outright founded on conflict. They got most of their power by death and destruction. Its only right that they have another civil war.
Its in their anthem and by the sheer number of guns that outnumber the populace.
