My laser plugged right into that UPS without issue. I use the EVGA G2 and G5 gold power supplies, so they aren't el cheapo. So the UPS is a waste of money then.

Can use this extension cord if needed. No issue.

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
Got the Jabra Speak s____ whatever number I ordered finally arrived.
It's awesome. So slick, clear and easy to use. I feel lucky I snagged one over a week ago because I already was noticing I was late for that boat.
Not giving the model # is like bragging about buying an Android phone and talking about how awesome the camera lens is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Just started using a wireless headset this week and holy shit i can't believe i went this long without it. Just makes it so much more convenient working from home... can grab coffee/food middle of calls, walk around to stretch, etc.
highly recommend the investment, even better if work will cover it.
I have this one as this is the model my company uses and would recommend:

I rotate between 3 head seats right now. AirPods Pro are my favorite for noise cancelling and overall clarity on calls. I get a headache with them in for more than 3-4 hours a day though. I also like my beats Solo 3’s if a call comes up while I’m listening to music (Holy shit the battery life on these are good btw, I haven’t charged them since Thai all started and they are North if 80%).
I also have a Razer ManOWar 7.1 that I use for teams conference calls hardwired to my laptop. Which I like because it has a mute cutoff switch inline. So I don’t have to fumble with teams to mute unmute myself when I have a speaking role. The razer software it comes with does a great job of pseudo noise cancelling and volume normalization.
Maybe not ideal setup, but it’s all shit I already owned so effectively free.

"Hey Mr.Boss I realize we're in a total global economic shutdown but will you please buy me this $400 headset so I take a dump and walk around my house while I'm on work calls."
Any recommendations for headsets in the $50 range?
Gaming headsets are awesome for calls with the computer. They generally have decent filtering for background noise (like your goddamned kids who won't shut up even for one goddamned second). You can also plug them into your phone (usually with a USB3 to USBC adapter) for phone calls too, although they suck substantially more power from my phone than "regular" headphones. They also don't handle windy conditions well, so not the best for taking your conference calls to the park.
I'm rocking Logitech G433's, because I'm too cheap to buy any of the best ones. Wired, so zero latency, which is nice. $79 on amazon. There's a lot of options for wired gaming headsets for under $100. Check Rtings.com.

Best bet would be look for a budget gaming headset. Wireless and decent is gonna be pretty hard to find at 50$ tbhThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
This one is 150:

honestly i had no idea it was that expensive... if i had to guess i would have though it cost $150 max. we have an internal system where we request IT equipment and it doesn't show pricing...just model info, push submit, wait for LM approval and it gets delivered to your desk. I'm sure they negotiate large volume discounts so probably didn't cost our company quite that much. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have lost quite a few PC and inside components decades ago when city brownout are quite frequent. Even since then, almost any electronics are behind UPS.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Cheap ones for cheap consumer stuff and PFC for gaming PC, servers and audio equipment.
$200ish a pop to sometimes protects up to $5K of equipment is cheap insurance.

How do you actually tell that the damage is from the power supply? I couldn't figure that one out. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Yup, here's the pricing we get from Jabra through our work code if we want to buy personal items. I would assume corporate volume discounts are even better than this:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
