India just announced a 21 day national shutdown in the middle of my meeting. Yikes.

Glad we got everyone WFH right in the nick of time.

edit - total ban on leaving the home, starting in 3.5 hours.
3.5hrs for everyone to get 21 days worth of supplies??? Jeeeesssus haha, that would be something to see

    NO!
The quest to solve this is as elusive as a Covid-19 vaccine.

I guess working from home didn't work for Westjet. Just announced 7000 layoffs.

Question is they power those 737 max while they are not in use. Now I assume 3/4 planes are in hangers, are they rotating them to keep them all flying and maintained?

I wonder how safe air travel will be once we are out of this?

Still safer than driving to the airport, that's my guess.

It's crazy out there. You're apparently allowed to go out to get groceries (deliveries being preferred), see doctor and other basic essentials, but Bangalore police is having none of that. They were belting people out trying to hit grocery stores 30 mins after the announcements before any details were officially published.

1M Canadians have applied for EI.

It's basically doubled the unemployment rate.

Unless you have $10 (500 rupees). Then they're your BFF.

Why do all these aircraft techs and mechanics have nicer homes than me?

And the top shelf is roughly twice as busy with cables. Granted, my WFH setup is like using a nuke to kill a fly for most of you, but I constantly find myself wanting additional monitors.

It's been a rough day. Lost 2 members of my close team and lots of us on reduced hours.

JT just announced a new benefit, $2000 a month for the next 4 months for anyone who's lost their job.
