Teams has been flawless for me, ran two client meetings with it and no issues whatsoever. Like Flisptah though fucking Outlook is driving me nuts, all sorts of issues trying to connect and start up.

Are you on a VPN where all your internet traffic goes through?

I have been using RDP into my office, to use teams to share screen, and a conference line for audio lol.

Still works great. We can’t rely on people having working mic’s so phones it is.

Company mandated work from home as of today.
Also found out I need to lay off 40% of my team this week via phone call

It's more humane to do it via twitter.

Teams was fantastic for us today.

Overall, forcing everyone to work remotely has been really good so far. Now that our clients are starting to get into the swing of things, it's getting a lot easier.

We haven’t had to lay anyone off but have had a few people refuse to work......yes refuse to work from home.

This was conveniently right after we sent out a memo telling everyone their job was secured if they were not comfortable being in the field or travelling. I am dying to hear the excuses from a few of the district heads on why their teams “can’t” work from home. To be clear it’s not that they want to go to the office, they just don’t want to work, like at all.

Teams was fine for us but we just transitioned from Skype so the learning curve of 4-5 people on every call doing the “can you see me? Hey guys can you hear me? What do I click?” Burns a good 15 minutes of each call.

I certainly hope management is keeping tabs on the people who are being intentionally difficult during this situation.

Gonna have a lot of 30 dollar oil to go through after Coronavirus is done, and the associated layoffs.

Are you deciding who gets laid off? If so how are you going to choose?

    How is the connectivity..?
We have been asked to stay away from conference calls and video as our VPN can't handle it yet.

I'd probably focus on voice calls for now. Video conferencing via Teams worked fine for me but didn't need VPN.
