Anyone interested in some Olympic plate holders for their rack? Looking to sell a pair of mine. Thought I would throw it out here before kijiji etc.
Specs: fit on a 2x2 post, 1" diameter peg, and hold 2" Olympic plates, w/ capacity for 300lb per peg.
Looking to get what I bought them for.. about $60 for both.
Anyone have one of these or something similar? I was going to pick one up but thought I'd check here first to see if anyone has been there, done that:

I plan to use it primarily at my standing desk.
EDIT: Bought this already...hope it's good.

I picked up the BoS fat boy flat bench. Its actually amazing. Super light and has a grippy top. I found it one of the best benches ive ever used and is PL spec (extra wide)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

That’s a super nice looking room.
Too bad there is a squat rack in the middle of it.

I almost grabbed the BoS bench, but was pissed at $50 shipping with local pick up closed, so I opted for a Strongarm bench instead. And so I don't need to manage 2 benches (I had an old powertec adjustable that I wanted to stop using for flat bench), I got the pre order for the strongarm adjustable. I'm mildly concerned, as it's listed at 45kg.

I got a rogue adjustable bench. Paid out the ass for it but should last forever
At this point I didn't feel like I needed anything super crazy and didn't want to spend a lot at this time. A lot of benches on Amazon only had a 300lb limit which is mostly for those cross fit people. Found this bench https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07HF3772K for a reasonable price and is supposedly rated to 660lbs.
Not that I'll be every pushing 660lbs for bench press I'd like to think 225ish is a good place to go.
Yeah just make sure you take your own bodyweight into consideration to. Lets say you are using it for box squats and you sit on it with 405+ it could break. Just make sure its not super skinny so that you can plant your shoulders properly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Thats pretty heavy lol. But commercial grade stuff lasts forever. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Apparently BoS had to stop pickup because people kept showing up refusing to wear masks and being hostile. The management didn't want to risk workers getting sick.

Oh this was one of the things I factored. A bench @ 300lbs wasn't going to work since I'm all but 200lbs myself so I knew a 300lb limit wasn't going to workThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Box squats are my reason for a heavy duty bench. The worst was getting stuck on the box with 495 on my back.

Shopping around for a power rack + pull down attachment.
So far leaning towards:
https://www.amazon.ca/Fitness-Realit...6&sr=8-11&th=1
or
https://www.bellsofsteel.com/product...al-power-rack/
I would guess the build quality on the bells of steel residential rack will probably be better? (that + the pull down attachment)
For those of you with carpet, what mats did you get to protect the floor?
I have the fitness rack without attachments and its fine. I would not recommend using it on carpet as it is pretty light and easy to move.
Attachments are meh and finding replacements right now is insane.
Anyone interested in a Swiss Bar? I bought it 10 months ago from Fitness Depot and now I don't have the room in the new house for it. If interested please PM me.
@nagooro
I have the Bells of steel rack.
The one thing I would have to say with that one is that it's 2.3"x2.3" so you'll likely have to buy them from bells of steel also.
The amazon one is 2"x2" so it's easier to find aftermarket accessories.
I have my rack on some EVA foam rubber puzzle piece type mats like these
I'm thinking about spending a few hundred more and just getting the light commercial rack. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
What I would order:
- Light commercial rack
- lat pull down attachment
- barenaked bar
- 4x rubber gym mats
- bunch of plates
All in I think it'll come out to $1800-2k or so.
Have you had any issues with the residential rack? or wish you got the light commercial?
Is your rack on a hard floor? I have those same rubber puzzle piece mats, but my rack will be going on carpet so might do some plywood + heavier duty rubber mats on top.
