Not saying that it wouldn't do the job but I'm not sure how identical it is...the Bodycraft has a purpose build set up for rows and lat pulldowns which combines both stacks. Can it be done with that NL yes I guess but not as ideal. I'm thinking that the build quality will be much better as well. Expecting it next week, I'll follow up once it's set up.

I've ordered everything I needed from Flamann through my contact. Got a squat rack, with a bench, olympic bar and free weights plates coming in and also one of those Bowlflex dumbbells that can be adjusted from 10 lbs to 90 lbs.

Anyone want to help me build a 8'x8' platform?

Was thinking 2 layers of 4x8 criss-cross, and then a nice layer of wood on top with rubber matting.

But will need help on transporting the 4x8 sheets and assembly in basement.

Send PM if you can help out and mention your rates!

Got it all set up, really happy with it. Took 4 or 5 hours to get it all in boxed and built. Instructions were very detailed and worked well. Pulleys are very smooth, welds look good. Guess time will tell. Crappie picture but the lighting isn't the best.

Anyone have any recommendations for rubber matting that is low odor? It can either be a roll, or 4x6' sections.
Or if someone wants to split a roll with me, I'd be down.

Was thinking either 1/2" or 3/4" thick mats.

I know there's not a peavy mart in the city, you'd have to go to Strathmore but they have options:

    https://www.peaveymart.com/Stall-Mats-C1119.aspx

I bought a couple 5'x7' 3/4". Still had a little rubber smell but went away relatively quick.

These are the ones I used:
    https://www.fitnessdepot.ca/C11FCA69...tdr724838.html

Not really cheap and only 3/8”, but pretty much 0 odour and the thickness is fine for most lifting/exercises. I believe you can buy them in rolls as well. They didn’t have the 4x6 in stock when I originally went so I had to pick them up a week later so maybe call in advance if you decide to go with them

    Thanks guys.
@brucebanner , so your mats currently have no smell after it aired out for a bit? Also when you bought them, were they rolled up or you had to transport them flat?

I don't have any of my home gym stuff anymore, sold my half rack and mats since I only had borrowed benches barbell & weights while gyms were closed.

Those mats had next to no smell within a couple weeks or so. I had everything set up in my garage, didn't wash the mats or anything prior to help with the smell. Had to transport them flat, bit of a task handling by myself but made it work.

Yeah for what its worth the cheapy rubber horse/gym mats that were smelly turned out to be non-smelly after a week or two. I did put them out in the sun and clean them when I first got them, but I dont think that made that much of a difference

Crazy how places still have no stock on most things. I cancelled my gym membership but now starting to regret it.

Or how the second hand market is still super overpriced. I'd expected to see prices to start to crater, but people are still asking ridiculous amounts.

I'm still grumpy at paying 2$/lb for dumbbells that should've been much cheaper but grateful that I got them back in the spring, have used them a lot more this summer than I expected and if things get worse through the winter and stuff shuts down it'll be even better value.

Yeah I bought a bar used awhile back and grabbed a set of 50lb weights (4x10; 2x5) from Canadian Tire and just picked up a Synergy Curl bar from Amazon.

Pricing is still crazy as is finding stock.

I'm hoping to pick up a new bar in the spring. I want to get a rogue Ohio Power Bar in either SS, or cerakote, to replace my current no name one. I'd also like to replace my "looks like it's from the 80s" rack with a nice one with straps instead of bars for safeties.
Ironmaster is doing a new round of lottery for their adjustable DBs. I entered, but not sure if I'll buy if I get in, but a buddy is interested in my lot if I don't.

I'm mostly setup, and still go to the gym as well.

Bells of Steel, in Calgary, shows what's in stock quite regularly. They have done a few pre-orders for equipment over the past few months, and generally it's about 4-5 weeks from pre-orders

    https://www.bellsofsteel.com/whats-in-stock/

Dumbbells are hard to find, and are very expensive either way.
