I was very happy with the half rack I had from them. Didn't have spotter arms so I can't comment on those but the half rack itself was very good.

They're based out of Edmonton, good local option.
I got some plates from these guys. Not the best prices coming in at around 2.2 $/lb for steel, but they are nice quality and well built. My 45's were .1 or .2 lb less than 45 so close enough

The bow flex ones at Costco looked really good. Good luck finding one though...I think they were around 450 retail but people flipping them for $700+ last time I checked.

^ they sell for $420 with the stands included at Costco, good deal. I called 2 Costco locations today, both out of stock but was told 60 units were supposed to come into their depot today and be distributed out to the local stores.

If I find them in stock soon I'll post up here but yeah they'll sell quick and end up on Kijiji for 2x their price.

If money isn't an issue, there are a few sets on Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace. Most tend to go for around $600-800. Too pricey for me, but I found a guy selling them for $400, contacted them. Ask me to message him this morning to check them out. This morning, he lists the item as sold, but then I see he re-listed them for $500.

Ive heard rumours the bowflex ones can drop plates as the gears that hold the weights in place are flimsy plastic.... *all hearsay though, I have no direct experience with them.

I quite like my powerblocks. I got the cheaper sport series with the stage two expansion for 50-70 lbs. https://powerblock.com/product/sport-series/

These are the best looking ones I've come across. Goes to 70lbs, much better than the 52lb bowflex ones. But I have no idea on their quality or anything. Price doesn't seem terrible.

    Ironmaster bumbells.
    Bowflex 552 dumbells.
    Rogue loadable dumbells.
Hell, I think even Walmart has some brands.
    The issue is availability.

Did you pick those up in-store somewhere or you ordered them online?

I picked up a set at Fitness depot a while ago. The dumbbells themselves are good and solid but I also got the curl bar that I don't like because the weights don't spin

After looking at the adjustable dumbbell options, I like this style the most, to which is originally made by Nuo...slated the Flexbell by them.

Looks like the FitFox and Rock Solid Fitness resellers are just ordering off brand makes from alibaba and selling them for 2-3x.

I messaged a manufacturer on Alibaba to find out how much shipping would be to Calgary.

Nice. I'd like to hear the outcome of that.

I just got my Bowflex 840 selecttech kettlebell. Haven't done much kettlebell training in the past, but needed weight and core training to supplement my cycling. Squat rack with barbell would be ideal, but didn't work with space constraints.
Adjustable from 8-40lbs, which sounds light but with modifying the workouts (single leg deadlifts, pistols squats, etc) it'll be plenty challenging. So far so good. Ordered from Bestbuy as they had stock and were $40 off. Delivery in 5 days to my door.

Not great success, messaged several through Alibaba and either not replies or they won't sell just 2 items as they want large orders. Alongside from what I've found out or read just by googling, shipping this much weight for 2 dumbbells it would be pretty costly and negate any savings.

Aliexpress does list some that shipping isn't wild but the listings are generally $150-200USD per dumbbell and you're looking at months of lead time potentially.

A set of these popped up on kijiji yesterday, was too late to snag them but the seller was kind enough to give me some tips regarding shipping from China if I went that route.

I'm leaning towards purchasing a set through FitFox as they offer free shipping within Canada and the next batch they receive is towards the end of the month.
