Want to be able to take my kid places via human power instead of just the truck... who’s had good experiences with what chariots? Seems to be a few models/brands. Bonus if it’s future proof and you can cram two kids in...

I already said it above, our Chariot Cross 2 has been really solid. Only thing I'd change is going up a model to the Chariot Sport 2; my wife said she'd like the hand brake for going down steep hills/running with it.
We have a Chariot CX2, other than the disc brake (overkill) required some adjustments (was rubbing a little), we had no issues or complaints. The only "cons" I can say was it was a bit expensive. Bought it during Bow Cycle's annual long line up sale event... good old days.
Man, I didn't realize how expensive these chariots are...
