Sending Money Overseas

I usually use Western Union to send money to family in Egypt but it appears all western union outlets are down (walmart, safeway etc).

What is the best alternative way to send money similar to Western Union?

I just used worldremit for the first time and did the calculations

I ended up paying $1027ish for 3,000zl and with xe.com it would of been $1,009 at the time and western union to the bank it would of been $1,056 and $1,086 for them to instantly pick it up.

Was sent directly to their bank, it seems like the best way, was super quick took 2 business days to hit their bank account. (1 day to get to the bank)

there is $6 or $8 in fees in that as well because I didn't realize the first 3 times you can send money for free.. I wanted to keep it under $1,000 to avoid extra forms (Not sure why i'd need them but they said you need extra info for over $1,000cad)

I really don't think there is going to be a much cheaper way and if it will it would only be .5% max
