Yea it wouldn’t hurt that’s for sure. You can’t OD on cbd anyway but with thc she can get a little high.
I’m using a sun farms cbd oil ratio 30:1 from sweet tree to help with my transition.
It’s tough man. Loneliness is equivalent to smoking 15 cigs a day as per the internet. Throw in not being able to sleep and those nights can be pure darkness and most of us haven’t mastered the ability to be alone.

Pretty sure my moms depressed. Ive noticed a change in her mood in the last couple months but never put 2 and 2 together until now. Shes retired and older so shes kinda stuck at home for the most part during all of this. Im thinking we need to get her some cbd
While CBD doesn't typically have as much psychoactive effect, I would still caution against unproven drugs to try to change mental state. It CAN make things worse.

I should follow my own advice.

Unless the depression is steaming from a severe case of arthritis... I don’t think CBD is going to do much... probably better off with micro dosing some mushrooms if you’re set on self-medicating

Find a safe way to get her out of the house once in a while. It's too bad mall walking is probably not a good activity for now unless you go before shops are opened or go for deserted malls like Northland or NorthHill.

Or get her out to the countryside for fresh air. As long as you find spots that's not loaded with hikers.

Well there's some sativa strains that help when you're down and out depressed can't get off the couch... But you really need real medical help at that point, not self-medicating.

And CBD isn't a cure all... Hell even what it's medically proven to be good for - is limited. https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/...-2018082414476

My mental health is sh*t right now; I gotta get it under control.

BTW, I also stayed mostly offline and cut off from the world on the weekends. And I kinda like it.

Cheer up. There's always geocaching and KFC bucket deals to distract your mind if meditation doesn't work.

Thanks for the insight guys! I really do appreciate all your guys help. I was talking to my sister today about taking my mom out but i feel its going to require more than the occasional walk, shes also a senior so were trying to limit the outside exposure as much as possible which doesnt help. I was always only concerned about the financial damages of covid but mental health is just as serious.

Northland and Northill would probably add to her depression. It's pretty sad walking thru those empty malls seeing faces of business owners sitting in empty stores. I'd suggest taking her forest bathing. Doesn't have to be a big forest. Just anywhere with some nice trees. Combine that with more frequent phone call check-ins and some professional therapy (there's plenty of free options right now). Meds either prescribed or self imposed should be the last resort.

Quarantines & lockdowns have definitely helped me learn more about myself and put how I want to live in focus and I don't want to live long term in a place with winter 5 months out of a year. I come to this conclusion every winter by the way haha. In a typical winter mall walking is the best option we have for 'getting outside' as pathetic as it is.

I’m sure there’s more than a few that do it on this site. I did it for around 10 years until my wife spawned a couple of kids, but they will be old enough to enjoy now so I’ll have to start up again. Most of ones I’ve enjoyed were on scrambles or in the deep back country off-roading.
Had a bit of time between jobs this afternoon, went on to find 18 geocaches this afternoon SW of Cochrane. No gangs in sight. My most productive day of geocaching ever but they were mostly all of two series of geocaches and not all that difficult to find.

#truth. Those 2 malls are so depressing to go through, we went to that showhome furniture place so we did a loop around the mall after and depressing is putting it nicely

Northland has been depressing since I was a teenager and I used to go there after my orthodontist appointments.

This x1,000. It's fucking hard to reach out when things suck, but every time you do it feels better. People here bust your balls all day long but when shit hits the fan and people need help, they step up no questions asked.
