Nothing like buying a motorcycle that serves a single purpose: being a year round garage ornament.
They ARE good for that , though.

I hadn't heard that term but I have experienced it and it was very unsettling for me. I thought the SSRIs made it worse. One of the reasons I had to get off them.
Haven't felt that for a long time now and I'm thankful.

See, I'm wondering the same thing. Is it the SSRIs that are causing it, or is it just the depression - which hasn't been fully taken care of by the meds? Both can cause it.

Problem is what happens if I go off the SSRIs. Because quite frankly, they are the only thing that I've taken which have kept me in check. Otherwise, I turn into a raging beast. By this point, feeling *anything* would be welcome, but I think my family would have a different opinion.

Yeah, I went psilocybin and was happy with it.

I too went the psilocybin route this weekend. Was a much needed break from the day to day reality. Having just stumbled on this thread today, makes me think how much stress people wear because of all of this. Myself, working full time, trying to get a divorce finalized with a useless tyrant, running my shop after hours, being a dad, keeping the girlfriend / relationship healthy, financials in check…. All while unsure of the future and continually trying to put a smile on (you know me bob lol)…. There isn’t any free time past making sure everyone else is good while not taking care of one’s self in the process / being able to enjoy passions. I’m managing, but fuck, some normalcy and relaxation would be nice

I think for some just running their lives is challenging. Add all the restrictions and general negative cloud that hangs over life these days is just proving a little more than they can bear.

So happy for you that you found a method that gives you reprieve.

    I've loved this.

I dislike people at the best of times. A little distance, Bob finally wishes his hands after going to the bathroom, Steve doesn't come close talk at me anymore, Josh doesn't try and eat my snacks.

Everyone is masked, so no one is sneezing or causing on me in line ups.

I'll keep masked until the FDA approves the Indian whole vaccine, and if any mouth breathers start offering me advice on why I shouldn't wear it anymore, I might just end up in jail.

I'll miss the restrictions, and not looking forward to the dirty "normal".

I was struggling last week. I needed male company and I went with a friend for drinks. We went for spicy tandoori wings and fries at Juliets castle. It was glorious. The food was so good. Maybe we should do a Beyond meet at this place @Extra Slow; ..?

Juliet's is close to me, I'm game. Then underage Asians across the street for dessert works too.

I have a lot going on with sick elderly parents. My dad's death is probably days away so that sucks. In terms of all the other pressures in life with the pandemic and work pressures, I've figured out a few things that work for me. I've cut out watching the news. Nothing but garbage on there right now. I've limited my social media and ditched a bunch of toxic "friends" on there. You know the ones. Everything is a conspiracy. I've upped my exercise régime and have cut back almost all alcohol. I find not only am I my more centered but I can deal with things better when the shit hits the fan.

Had a blow up happen in one of my group chats between two guys which ended with one of them leaving. It was totally out of nowhere. The call for the end of restrictions is almost as tough of a topic as covid itself.

Yes this is a difficult time for people. I can see it in my own social circle too. Some strained conversations happening.

Be kind if you can, to yourself and others.

Sorry to hear about your dad.

The rest of your post is some of the best advice people can get.

Twiter Reddit, Instagram, Facebook and probably a lot of others are detrimental to your mental health. That's a fact. Less is better. Working out is good I hear. Don't partake in that myself . . .

I am positive that it is, which is weird because I feel little for it and usually (try to keep this in the DL) I have opinions about things and sometimes I'm even less than shy about sharing them.
But LinkedIn has just become Facebook over it. It's amazing!! Fully 20% of contacts are liking and sharing political trash all over their feeds, multiple times per day.
    I fuckin hate it.

There sure are a lot of pussies here.

What would you boys do if we were in a real crisis? An actual war, with like bullets? An actual famine?

Go to mommas and cry in her lap?
