    *Update*

Things have been going pretty good for a while now for me. I have not been drinking at all going on two months and back to eating well losing a whack of the covid weight I put in, business is surviving and new ideas for the shop coming down the pipe. All in all not to shabby! Still, today I woke up feeling like I needed some kind of big change, and while it may not seem like much, this was huge for me... I went to town looking one way, and came home another! I am still a bit freaked out by it but I am feeling like it was a good decision for my morale! Cheers!

How many years were you growing that thing for?

I have had a beard for years and cut it back somewhat (this is the shortest since before I originally grew it out) and let it go periodically, but honestly it does not take me that long to go long. This was clean shaven to a year exactly getting a monthly trim to keep it in control...

That's a relatively short timeline. I have to be clean shaven for work so I've never really tried to grow a long beard.

Hey, anyone out there that's feeling like they have been having a really tough year, maybe the worst in the last decade, well you aren't alone. There's a research project that attempts to measure the mood of the world, and according to thier work, 2020 had been brutally difficult for everyone.

Based on my own social circle, elections do seem to have a major impact on attitudes and outlook.

Been feeling tired a lot lately, unsure if that's due to being too old to club anymore or 2020 in general

people would be a lot happier (but more cynical), if they understood how much they are manipulated by their precious media outlet of choice.

"fox people" and "cnn people" seem to be the most easily manipulated. Throw CBC in there, too. The people who represent that dip in 2016/2017 on that graph are the fodder.
