Windows 10; Z390-E ROG strix.
My computer went into sleep mode and when I came back to wake it up it was non-responsive. Turned power off then back on. Fans spinning, no error LEDs on mobo but bios would not post. I removed all peripherals, tried to turn it on and same story - fans spinning, no error LEDs, but no post. Different PSU, same story. At that point I figured something shorted on the board, but just for giggles I removed the cmos battery, powered on and it started working perfectly again.
Computer is perfectly stable so obviously nothing was shorted so best I can figure out is sleepmode can corrupt bios somehow????
